In Uruguay, 24 years in the future, the so used herb mate, the most iconic habit of the people of the small South American country, has been forbidden by influence of the United States and their policy of war on drugs, just like their attempts to banish coca leaf traditional planting in Bolivia in the present. Two friends, however, travel towards Paraguay (yes. It is a road movie) in order to bring mate seeds and star planting it again after 10 years of prohibition. While the police (policemen often drink mate the same way nowadays many of them use or sell marihuana and cocaine from their drug seizures) chases the two guys, several Uruguayan support the latters and offer them help, as they see them as heroes who are giving a core element of their national culture back. The general idea of this Uruguayan film is very clever. Unfortunately, the movie development and the script as not as good as that plot.
