Murder on 42nd St.

It's the end of the seventies, Times Square, New York, and The Police are dealing with a sexual sadist, after two women are found dead in a hotel room.

I have been to Times Square, and it is the most incredible place, if I'm honest I didn't know its history, this really did surprise me.

A true scene setter, this is one very gritty opening episode. I was surprised by just how much detail they went into here, it's harrowing, it's graphic, it makes for some uncomfortable viewing.

It's immaculately produced, and doesn't feel overdone, some of the more recent ones have been overly done.

Wow, what a salacious first episode. Maybe going a bit too in depth into the sex scene of New York in the late 70s, but it certainly set the tone. The interviews were relevant and the timeline of events established.
