Avis à la une
I discovered this web series online and fell in love with it instantly! The show features 2 hipsters from LA (Elle and Marci) who can't seem to grow up and be mature adults! I loved all the modern pop culture references and for an independent production, the quality was pretty darn good! I thought both Heleya de Barros and Vivian Kerr were excellent as the leads and had impeccable comedic timing! We Are with the Band certainly fits the criteria set forth by the show's creators and is a humorous portrayal of two young female hipsters exploring the underground band scene in Los Angeles. Elle and Marci may be living a life of misadventure, but with strong acting, memorable dialog and overall quality, the web series itself is an enjoyable—and yes, relatable—adventure for viewers everywhere.

I saw this at ITVfest a few weeks ago and this show is seriously hilarious. It's a look in the life of two L.A. hipsters (which everyone in L.A. will totally relate to) as they move from one ridiculous adventure to the next. Someone said it reminded them of Abfab but to me it's sweeter than AbFab and not quite as dark. Though, there may be as much drinking. Vivian Kerr and Heleya DeBarros do a great job as Elle and Marci and the writing is witty with loads of pop culture references without being too Juno-ish. Awesome show, highly recommended. Best web series I've seen in a LONG time.
Favorite line: Marci (while recovering from a hangover): "I feel like a Maroon 5 song" Elle: "Shitty?" Marci: "Shitty"
Too great.

Like other reviewers I was turned on to this show at ITVFest in LA. Very funny show revolving around the hi-jinks of 2 young ladies who refuse to grow up. The humor is well done, and doesn't go over the top. It picks a comedic tone and sticks with it (something other independent shows struggle with). Additionally it's grounded enough to have some sweet moments. Don't worry about the terms "independent" or "web series", the production quality is quite good. It's shot and edited well, with nice locations for a micro budget. The two leads (Kerr and de Barros) are perfect as pathetic yet lovable scenesters. There are some hilarious and memorable performances from the supporting cast as well. It's on web, so give it a shot. Now!
