Avis à la une
It is hard to imagine why this film was made. From the outset, Jackie Mason (a comedian whose shows I have previously enjoyed) is unkind, ignorant, prejudiced, unpleasant.
There is nothing that can raise even a smile at a any point. As a catastrophic counterpoint to the amazing 12 Angry Men the film is even more saddening.
The acting is so wooden as to make chipboard appear like oak.
It's as if the whole film is a deliberate attempt to troll, to offend anyone with compassion, intelligence and awareness.
After 40 minutes I had to give up.A very sad film.

If you accidentally stumble upon this on Hulu then you are both lucky, and caught in a tragic situation. I suppose right-wing comedy could be funny(granted this has some social-libertarian tendencies). This is a film that manages to skewer everyone who doesn't fit into Jackie Mason's worldview. In particular the treatment of Muslims, and weird attempts at populist anti-intellectualism really make this a dire affair. On top of that the acting is tired, and the production values are non-existent. I suppose the best thing I can say is that it isn't homophobic. Still this may be the worst comedy I have ever seen, and I have seen Foodfight! and Which Way to the Front? Its the sad terminal breath of a has-been baby boomer.
Although I am one of Jackie Mason's greatest fans, I must admit that I was slightly disappointed in this movie. In my opinion, it's not quite up to par with the kind of comedy that I expected from this great comedian. In fact, through the years, I have watched hundreds of comedians and none of them comes even close to the originality and genius of Jackie Mason.
It is extremely difficult to make a truly funny movie. Perhaps one in a hundred or a thousand comedies would deserve such a qualification. That's why it's not my intention to criticize Jackie Mason here. Far from it.
For his other works as a comedian, I would give Jackie Mason a 10. However, in my opinion, this movie deserves an 8. Finally, Jamie Colby was great in the movie.
