The movie has way more heart then those cheap Hollywood productions.
The artists play their roles very well, especially the smaller roles. The movie shows a lot about the Albanian / south east European problem to express feelings and to handle emotions and traumas.
I would describe the storytelling as exciting, unexciting and balanced.
As I mentioned before, the supporting cast play their roles very well, whether they are older or very young characters.
The shots of the landscape and the choice of lighting are also very positive.
The camera work as well as the scenes where there is little to no talking are also convincing.
What I didn't like a bit:
The roadtrip character of the film somehow suggests that Albania is a very big country that you can only cross in several days...

Starts in Frankfurt's Bahnhofsviertel and ends in paradise.
If you enjoy the idea of life's circles closing, you will love this film. It masterfully portrays life through a series of fateful events that make sense as a whole. Along the way, the audience gains valuable insight into Albanian culture.
When the ending suddenly connects to a real-life event, the director creates an unexpected "aha" moment for the viewer. Which made me do my research on this tragic event.
For those who believe they can control life, this film serves as a reminder that one cannot escape their destiny. Even if you try to escape, there will be stranger who brings you back on track of your life path.
