La loi selon Harry

So what happened to this show. Suddenly we're a big law firm and the tone of the show has changed entirely. Harry is now just a cranky old bitch and what did you do to Jean Smart. Designing Women seems like it was on another planet. She is totally unbelievable as a character. I feel sorry for her having to deliver those lines with a straight face. Any charm and humanity the show had seems to be gone. If you're trying to be the Good Wife, forget it, you're not in the same league. And where did Mark Valley come from? I appreciate that he is nice eye candy but what has he got to do with anything. The former supporting cast seems to have been pushed aside as stars with higher profiles take the spotlight. Alfred Molina is wonderful but give him something to work with please.

I got my wife to watch this show after the original, fresh quirkiness of season one. Now the series has taken a turn to become just another procedural. Such a shame. This series had heart. This series had the common touch and a realism that didn't exist in other legal dramas.I pray they go back to what attracted me to this show. Already the 3 episode arc ended with a fizzle.

I understand that Ameel is gone and that can easily be explained as his character was to go to school. Why, however, is harry losing her secretary? That was a great character who acted as the moral center in many episodes.Tommy is there with nothing to do when it was established that even with his eccentricities, he still can come through in a pinch. He could have been the one to discredit a witness in the trial in his own inimitable way. This show needs to get back to roots and quickly!

I loved this show, until the first episode of the new season. I'm so disappointed! What on earth have they done to such a great show? And what a waste of a great talent like Kathy Bates! The charm of this show was the one-on-one accessibility of a lawyer with an open door to the poor community. A gang member could open the door from the mean streets and find Harry, a grumpy yet fearless advocate, on the other side of that door. Now it looks like any other cookie-cutter law show. There was the fun of a law office combined with a show store. Now that's gone. And what happened to the assistant, who wanted to be a lawyer. There was no explanation of his departure. The storyline of the past seasons included Tommy and Harry becoming friends, but there was still a respectable distance that kept things interesting. The quirky underdog was what gave this show appeal and separated it from all the other "Law" shows on TV. Harry's Law lost at least one fan.

Why change a quirky cast and setting in Season 2? Mark Valley is a leading man and it appears there is a struggle for viewers attention. He looks like he should be the star of the show instead of Kathy Bates. Changes from first season to second killed Mark's other show - Human Target. That show like Harry's Law lost its punch when more cast was added-especially insipid females.

Harry's Law's original cast were a cozy group fighting for the little guy while learning their strengths. This season, there are slick new cast members that distract and diminish the core cast of the first season. Tommy Jefferson looks like a sad buffoon this year where he was unique and quirky with a heart of semi-precious gold in season 1. The DA played by Jean Smart is just vulgar and morally depraved.....yuck! I looked forward to Season 1's cast, set and cases about helping people who needed a voice. Thumbs down on Season 2 so far.

So disappointed in this season of Harry's Law, its very unlike season one. I've been listening to other viewers, whom is also disappointed with this season. Needs more acting, not more actors. What happen to the cast from the first season. I was looking forward to seeing some of the cast from the first season, they're are the ones that made the show worth watching. The show was based on Harry leaving Corporate America, coming to the "Hood" to help the ones whom needed legal representation, that couldn't afford a lawyer. I feel if the show don't make a change soon, I don't know about season 3. I'm sure this season's rating is much lower that season 1. Hurry and bring back some episodes like last season. That's what the viewer enjoyed.
