Matsya Kaand

Matsya kaand manages to surprise you almost in every episode. Storyline is good played by a equally good cast. The protagonist role is played well by Ravii Dubey and the antagonist role too has been superbly played by Ravi Kishan. The role of Piyush Mishra as a mentor to the protagonist is truly amazing. The way he guides Matsya based on examples from the Mahabharata makes this storytelling really interesting. It is interesting to see how a small town but intelligent boy takes revange for the injustice done to his mother. A must watch !!!

Anwar Says : The idea and concept of this unique web series is new but it has to compete with Bunty and Bubbly-2 releasing today in theatre. Ajay Bhuinyan has been able to carry the audience with the script though a bit too long . Director has correctly chosen the MATSYA AVTAR out of different avatars of Lord Vishnu .

Performance wise Ravi Dubey and Ravi Kishan are perfect for the characters. Piyush Mishra trains Dubey to be a conman citing different narratives of Mahabharat and each episode has been given a separate name. Though, you have to make extra efforts to understand his voice. Dubey's disguise to 11 faces have been excellently done , thanks to the make up man . The graph of his character from training in the biggest university PRISON to doing KANDS ( scam ) has been smoothly shown.

Some of the scenes were unnecessarily stretched, particularly the betting sequence. Real locations of Meerut , Delhi and Jaipur have been successfully captured. Zoya Afroz looked pretty and Madhur Mittal looked good as allies. Rajesh Mishra is as usual brilliant. I would propose it as watchable on this Friday Evening .

Matsya kaand is a thriller web show directed by ajay bhuyan. Here are the positives and negatives:

Performances-the performances are top notch. Ravi dubey has given a clinical performance. His expressions, eyes, dialogue delivery everything was brilliant. Ravi kishan in his limited space has killed it yet again. Piyush mishra acts a father figure and he was equally good. The supporting cast is decent to good.

Background score-the background score looked fresh and unique to be honest. And to my surprise it was not saturated. Only used at places when required. The rap song was equally good specially the lyrics.

Writing-the writing is superb. And it was evident in the screenplay. It never lost its pace. The screenplay was engaging throughout the show despite being 11 episodes long.

Mahabharat and puran connection-the heists rthat are committed are linked so beautifully to our ancient texts and epics. It was so refreshing to see. Why should we borrow from other countries when we have so much depth in our ancient stories? Impressed!!

This is a really engaging and must watch web show. One of the best from mx player. I rate it 10 out of 10.

Minimum violence, maximum story.

Hard to believe that such a nice story is built around with a strong screenplay without violence and nudity.

A must watch series after a long time.

The makers have made this series in a way to entertain you in all sense

The story consists of revenge ,scams ,pains,friendships, emotions, super twists , dark scenes, tangy dialogues..the series goes in a decent pace keeping you on your toes about what will happen next..the twists are light and thrilling..direction is very sharp with little old screen play..

BEST thing is they have well connected the story with Mahabharata characters and war..Ravi Dubey has played fantastically with Zoya and Madhur

You will definitely enjoy the kaands.
