As background, let me say that Alicia Witt has been one of my favorite actors for a while, so when I saw there was a movie of hers that I hadn't seen I was excited. What a disappointment.

Almost every major character in the movie was unlikeable. Kim is partially a victim of circumstances but she was emotionally unfaithful to her fiancé even before the location disagreement. Her ex, Evan, admitted he was trying to disrupt her relationship which I consider low. Jeffrey seemed like a great guy, but then he started putting himself first without communicating. You don't even go into a relationship with a med-school student without knowing that location is going to be an issue. That discussion would have taken place a long time before the wedding. These two obviously hadn't had that discussion.

I don't know what rating this movie got, but the alcohol bumps it past the G rating, which is odd for Larry Levinson and Hallmark, the producing companies. I saw the movie on UpTV.

I have trouble judging the actors since I really didn't like the characters. The dads were obviously over the top. I didn't notice anything distracting about acting in other main actors. Same problem judging chemistry between Witt and Teddy Sears since I was cringing every time they got close. At 35 (at filming), Witt is a bit old to just be graduating med school or Kim must have put her life on hold at least once already.

I thought the movie was going to end as it did even though doing so was ridiculous.

For a Hallmark movie this one seemed like someone saw all the other Hallmark movies and tried to combine them and made this one. It was predictable from the get go and the story line was apparent 5 minutes into the movie. There was no chemistry between any of the characters and even the relationship between the parents was not believable. This does not represent Hallmark's usual story. Very disappointed with this movie. The sad thing was the lack of acting by the powerhouse names used to make this movie. All the ingredients for a successful movie are here but there is no recipe. The actors were restrictive in their dialog and they just did not interact with what I call "Hallmarkease!" The usual Hallmark movie has a story line that is somewhat guessable but it is fun and interesting to see it get to the end. This movie is the same way but it is so boring and uninteresting that it makes watching it painful. Not one of the actors pulls off any kind of redemptive acting. I would not recommend this to anyone and am very surprised Hallmark allowed this to air.

Are we sure this was a Hallmarker? It seems so far off the beaten path of the normal movies. I feel like a little old lady saying this, but there was cursing, a bit too much drunkenness, and selfish, annoying characters. I wish I hadn't wasted my time. The plot and script were completely unbelievable, as I refuse to believe human beings would really act that way, from the bitter neighbors to the ex feeling bold enough to give a speech, etc. That would NEVER happen! Ugh.

I do not really get all the hate on this film...............

There are some strong comedic and fun scenes (especially surrounding a tree between the two homes) and good chemistry emerged between the leads. The film has some strong messages about the need for it both to be the right person and the right timing for things to work in a romantic partnership.

The point is definitely brought home that unfinished business with one partner needs to be resolved before you take on a serious commitment with another. There are after all, whole families and friends caught up in the chaos that ensues otherwise.......

While the idea and concept was great I would have like a tighter and more coherent script and execution - but isn't that typical of tele-movies? I was not too worried by it.......

Watched this movie thinking it might not be as bad as the reviews I had read, turned out it was much worse ! Most of the actors did a poor job especially the actor who played the father of the bride. The performance of the actress (Alicia Witt)who played the bride was awful, not for one minute did I believe that she was in love and excited about marrying her man ! There was no chemistry between the two of them. I was also bothered by the music which I thought was overpowering. I did watch it to the end and still don't know why but honestly I was glad when it was over. A big waste of time in my opinion. Normally I like a lot of the Hallmark movies but this was a big let down.
