Sweet and easy to digest, baked to perfection!
Slapstick comedy with sex-appeal (but entirely wholesome), it actually offers LOLs alongside profound yet never heavy-handed meditations on relationships, struggle, aging, sexuality, and desire.
Scott Thompson (Kids in the Hall) as Early, an aging queen navigating the complexities of love, gives one of his best performances, as you'd come to expect with anything Scott Thompson.
Bud, is the messy and demanding sugar baby pimp, Adam Fox captures the conflicted and chaotic duality of what it must be like being a cherubic demon twink. Tab, is the divine himbo beefcake-oh, to be as uncomplicated as him! And Mickey, a laid-back, Timothée Chalamet-esque character rounds out the trio, gives us a calming presence that mellows out the show's sugary highs.
For a series centered around sex work, it never feels like a chore to watch. Without explicitly stating a message, it humanizes the motivations of both the daddies and the sugar babies with heart and grace.
As a 6 episode per season sitcom format with a progressive plot, Sugar Highs is the perfect snack-zero calories, but you'll feel completely satisfied. Uplifting and heartfelt, perfect pacing. You can easily binge it without going into a sugar coma.

Loved it was very fun to watch and interesting.
Glad i found Sugar Highs this might be my new favorite tv show to watch now and cant wait to see what happens next.
Characters are all interesting not boring like most shows At first I didn't know what to expect but the show was quite good at first i did not know it was about sugar Mamas and sugar Daddies but that made the storyline very good I actually liked it because it felt new and different than most shows I have watch in the passed I have never even heard about OUTTV until watching this It caught my attention and now I like it.
Definitely surprised me that's for sure I gave it a 10 because it's different and I like that about it.

Every 20 something has been there: The rent's due and you're working umpteen jobs that don't pay anywhere near your part of the rent
Unlike a sitcom or TV show, the lengths you go to pay the rent doesn't magically resolve itself in 22 minutes (30 including commercials)
We follow Tad, Bud and Mickey who all have to get lots of cash in a short amount of time and turn to Sugar Daddies. Bud at one point has two of them, Tad wonders if he can do gay for pay and same with Mickey (who seems bi).
I feel like it's just so rushed that I can't truly get to enjoy the situations and see how they resolve them wihtout it spilling its guts 10 minutes later
As I said I'm on Episode 6 but there appears to be 12. If it's only 6, then it ended abruptly and I hope some more are released.

This short, 6-eipsode series shows an unusual look into the lives of 3 roommates sharing a flat in an unnamed city. We have 1 gay, 1 bi and 1 straight main character.
The straight boy, Tad's storyline was by far the most compelling aspect of the series. The actor playing him is charismatic, and it was interesting to see how shy he was and how he slowly opened up to Benny, a person who actually showed patience, kindness and a genuine interest in him.
Bud (the dancer guy) was a bit too selfish and too much of a self-centered user of other people to really be likeable. He was the character to get the most screen time which was not the best choice from the creative team, but it is what it is.
Mickey's moral dilemma was a big tiring to watch in the first 3 episodes, and we didn't really get to know his character well enough to be able to really properly root for him, but once his storyline got started in the second half of the series, he was an entertaining part of the mix.
Overall, Sugar High is a very good show to watch due to it's fresh attitudes towards male-on-male sex work and unique subject matter. There are a couple of genuinely touching moments and it doesn't require a big time investment as the whole thing is only 6 20 minute episodes.

I have watched many other shows on the same streaming service and they tend to be of lower budget or lower quality. So when I turned on this one, I expected the same. To my surprise it was very well done. The characters are all lovable. Adam Fox does an incredible job as the lead character Bud. He seems to be a natural as they all take on the same sort of employment. Gotta pay the bills somehow.
I love how the show brings forth the spectrum of sexuality, how no one is really "straight" anyways. The straight character is so sweet and just wants to be loved. Once he finds that, his loving loyal nature just shines. The Bi guy finds his own slice of heaven and you can see in his mannerisms how much he appreciates what he receives.
Now I do love that they are not afraid to show some backside skin. But I would love it if season 2 broke some more boundaries and gave us some front side skin too.
I am a fan. My husband loved it as well. We cannot wait for season 2. Congratulations on a job well done boys.
