Avis à la une
An excellent movie with very normal events throughout the movie. No masala like violence, glamour and drugs. Everyone can relate to the movie at various scenes. Watch the movie with your daughter. You will enjoy. Movie follows the father and daughter relationship from the birth of the girl to her marriage. Mother's role is included but focus is on the father. Father's protective mindset is brought out well. Locations are excellent. There is great humour all through the movie. A movie far all ages. Songs are melodious and fits well with the movie theme. I was riveted to the seat till the end of the movie even though there is no thrillers, suspense etc.

Watched this film accidentally.
But then I realised I had slipped into a masterpiece.
Watch with your daughter and recommend to others also.
Pass your time in a valuable way, more than just watching an entertainer.

This is a movie about a father and daughter relationship. The movie is practical and has a touch of realism. It shows how a child is ready to break free from protective parents yet the parents do not want to let go of their child.
Prakash Raj who plays the father is outstanding. His passion for his daughter brings out his compassionate side.
Ashwariya, who plays the mother, is the opposite. She is more willing to let go of her daughter.
Trisha plays a loving daughter and is really cute in this movie. She brings her character to a whole new level. She has never been this way before and really shows how she can do a different characters.
The songs done by Vidyasagar are very sweet and really matches the tone of the movie. Moreover, there is indirect humor because of the father's persistence to be with his daughter all the time. There are small surprises that keeps the movie light and enjoyable. The cinematography is excellent. The storyline definitely comes from the heart and the director does a good job presenting his ideas on to the screen. This is definitely a must watch movie.

A recent survey conducted in some country said that Indian families are the happiest in the entire world. The amount of bonding, love and respect amongst members in most families is extremely strong. And, you would agree to the survey if you watch Abhiyum Naanum. A father's love towards his daughter right from the time she was born to the pain of separation when she becomes independent and is married is so convincingly told that moist eyes and lump throat (of course out of happiness) is a guarantee.
Prakash Raj has given a stellar performance as always. Trisha has really matured as an actress and is becoming cuter after every film. Kudos to the entire behind-the-camera team of this wonderful light film with a big heart.

The Prakash Raj-Radha Mohan team is back after the much acclaimed "Mozhi" And it's one of the best comedy i've seen in recent pasts.... those who think of the usual slapstick comedy the best, think again...
Prakash Raj shoulders this film all alone..... He steals the show right from the beginning..... the script was awesome and so was the direction.
And the one actor who stands apart was Kumaravel as Ravi Shastri..
It is one of the rare movies where everything comes to place...
There are some fabulous scenes in the movie.. the scene where Trisha asks Prakash Raj to give her his shirt, the seen where Prakash Raj first see his Son in law, the seen with Kumaravel in the hotel, the list is endless....
Go watch it! It will entertain and will make you think....
