One thing I really love about Stoked is something others are bashing for: it's similarity to 6teen. To me, it's similar enough to make me not miss 6teen as much and different enough to not bother me. Sure, there are parallels in characters, but the show is not at all a copy. Reusing character types isn't a crime. Everyone, whether it be TV, movies, or books, does it.
I watched both seasons and found it to be a good background show; a show you're interested in, but only watch when you're doing something else as well. It's short, it's amusing, and it's art style in awesome. It's not fantastic, life-changing show, but all around I'd say its a good.

I've been watching my home country's cartoons since I was two years old. I grew up on classics like 6Teen and Total Drama. Needless to say, I was stoked when this show was announced on Teletoon.
Despite some of the weird reviews I've seen here, everyone I've ever met has loved Stoked. All my friends have watched it, and some still watch it today. And it's easy to see why: Stoked has a fun personality and is very lovable despite it's flaws, some of which are also prevalent in Total Drama Action. The pros? I love the characters. Each one is bursting with emotion, and the voice actors help carry these emotions phenomenally. The downside to this, however, is that I felt the characters got slightly out-of-touch with their personalities nearing the end of Season 2. They felt different, and not in a good way. However, the first Season is still amazing, and with 26 episodes, it can keep you entertained for a long time.
I've seen some people complain about the over-use of the word "dude", claiming this is surfer stereotyping... well, it isn't. In Canada, dude is a VERY popular word, especially in 2009-2012. And if you've lived near the warmer areas of Canada, you'll know that this kind of lingo is prevalent. And even if you aren't used to this kind of wording, don't worry; the show never makes it sound forced and the voice actors still speak perfectly natural dialogue. Also, the VA for Fin also played Izzy in Total Drama, so you've already got a major talent with her!
Another complaint I've seen on IMDb is about the music... which I honestly don't get. The music in Stoked is fine. It's got some really good songs, actually, and it never feels like it plays too long anyways. So even if you don't like the music (for whatever sick reason you don't enjoy music) then don't fret, because it isn't on-screen for a long time.
The show has some great laughs, very similar to Total Drama Island's humor while having the teenager tone of 6Teen. Personally, I love Stoked way more than 6Teen, mostly due to the smoother animation. The animation for Stoked, while 2D, bursts alive on the screen with constant movement, various camera angles, and beautiful water animation. The characters feel alive, much like the animation in Disney's Tangled TV Series.
I give Stoked a 9/10, with one point deducted due to the drop in character quality seen in Season 2. But other than that, Season 1 is on point, and I recommend that any lovers of 6Teen or TDI should definitely check this out.

First and foremost I would like to point out that this is in fact a show for children, the reason I say this is because a lot of the people bashing this show are older than 17, who want to see more shows like Megas XLR or Samurai Jack; and I can't blame them, those were pretty cool shows. I mean is this the greatest show that cartoon network has ever put out? No. Is this show better than most of the shows on cartoon network presently? Yes.
Now to the show itself. Stoked is a story about six teens and their not so wonderful summer jobs on the majestical Sunset Island. They spend their summer working at Ridgmount Resort which turns out to be more than they bargained for, the hours are bad, the uniforms suck, and their manager isn't the nicest of people, but they de-stress by surfing the choicest waves when they don't have to work. Overall just a basic summer working on an island resort.
Now I'm not going to say that this show is going to beat out Samurai Jack or other great cartoon network shows, but I would definitely prefer to watch this over Chowder or The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack.
At the end of the day I give it a 7 out of 10. It's somewhat unique but I do loose interest after awhile, good show to have on when your doing stuff around the house though

As a teenager myself, it seems appropriate that i rate this better than most would. I've heard that its a friends knock off and extremely predictable but i actually found it to be okay. Granted, it didn't make me laugh but there was some crude humor that i found myself grinning at. Again, I'm a bit younger so I haven't seen all the older shows that this supposedly "ripping off," but some of the things are rather cliché to say the least.
However, the relaxed scenes of just the Groms surfing in the ocean are calming.
As for the music, yeah, it gets kind of annoying, but its not like they play the tracks for long. 30-50 secs maybe. But as a BIG All Time Low fan, i really liked the first episode.
Overall, it was okay, a fun show to watch when you're feeling relaxed, and mostly just because I really wish i could be in the ocean surfing.
6 teenage Bummer-dodgers out of 10. :D

Recently found this show by chance after more than a decade. I loved every minute and cherished it all. This series is great as a slow burn or binge. I honestly didn't expect myself to be so attached. But I think the storylines are great, especially the ships. The animation, the best rock music selection I've seen in a any cartoon show, and the style of the characters is sooo good. It's great blend of what was popular in it's time and is the perfect blend of a 2000s show. I've been trying out surfing too so this was really the perfect watch for me personally. I think it doesn't get enough credit as is. If you want something totally laid back and has an optimistic view on life. This is definitely the show for you. Take it slow and ROCK ON GROMS!!!
