While I don't think the movie has much substance and it is almost exactly a carbon copy of the case which it claims it is "based off of," I do applaud the aesthetics, the editing, and the overall feel of the movie. I think that those factors can really take a movie quite far, but in this case, it was the one thing that pulled the most weight. I did look up the murder which this movie took for its plot, and it does have some semblance of realism, as it does seem like something the two killers would've made in real life. I think that coupling that with the look at the very least makes it somewhat successful in what it's trying to achieve.

This movie tries hard to touch the August Underground sort of feel but it doesn't actually do anything to deserve talked in the same breath as those series of movies. The only thing this movie does is copy the look with the vhs look which is about the only thing that works for this one. Besides that almost nothing at all happens. Just two filming and violating a corpse for an hour. And trust me almost nothing interesting happens with the violations to begin with. Don't waste your time, this one sucks hard!
