This is called "A Love Phantom" on Viki. Loved this Japanese Romantic drama - it was very sexy and you can watch this in one night if you want with only 12 episodes. This show proves that a geek can be extremely sexy and the leading male Renn Kiriyama doesn't fail in the kissing department. Other male leads should take lessons from him. Being from the US, never even heard of a Manga before until I was reading other reviews, I was just watching this drama with no previous pre notion of what this story would be about or that the leading male was to be 40 years old according to the Manga (but 38 in the drama). While watching, of course I noticed he was older, but it never crossed my mind really of being strange; just natural for someone at work to be attracted to another guy at work especially in a superior position all dressed up in a suit. I actually worked at a hotel high-rise once and could tell you lots of stories of things that go on in a place like that - nothing unusual to me. Did find the leading lady a little unbelievably naive though - I don't believe there would ever be anyone in reality that would be that naive so that seemed like a fantasy made up character to me - which is the reason I gave it 9 stars instead of 10. There was just enough ups and downs in the drama to keep you guessing - was the guy in the male lead's bed a lover or a childhood friend that just came over unexpectedly in the middle of the night? Was the cafe manager a 20 year friend or a secret affair? What is his secret that he is holding back from the woman he falls in love with? Much sexy romance and love. Great drama.

This was a mature love story that showed a truly respectful ML towards a naive but sweet FL. Although their first encounter may turn some people off, it was actually an awakening for Momo. I don't think she realized she was the pursuer but her instincts to protect and take care of him are reminiscent of other Asian dramas where MLs equate love to wanting to protect the woman.

Hase-san is attracted to Momo but holds himself back. He is painfully aware of their large age gap and experience. I truly enjoyed the chemistry between the two leads. Those kisses were hot. No dead fish kisses here. What also impressed me was how nurturing Hase-san was towards Momo. He encouraged her work pursuits and helped her become more confident. A true love story.
