Avis à la une
A legendary movie that deals with the life story of Ibrahim Al-Abyad, a young man who lives in a slum village, from the day he was born to the last moments of his life.
Watching the movie makes you see the world through three struggles, the struggle of influence and power, the struggle of love, and the struggle for a living, so what if the three struggles come together in the same person, who is called "abdel malek zarzour " Zeus, who has the influence to oppress all human beings, the drug dealer who can kill anyone stand against him but his heart, which falls in love with a little angel , the girl whom the hero of the film, Ibrahim Al-Abyad, loves since his youth, so the struggle between the king and the slave arises.
The film begins with the voice of Ashari, who is the narrator of the film's story, and he is Ibrahim's only friend, Ibrahim's secret, his companion, and his only supporter in this world that took his father from him when he was young, as well as his mother without mercy or pity.
Ashri is the real hero of the movie from my personal point of view, which was presented by the star Amr Waked. As we said, he is Ibrahim's only friend and is always ready to sacrifice his life for Ibrahim's comfort. Ibrahim works for Zeus as a drug distributor, but soon this partnership ends when Ibrahim learns of the marriage of horrayah to the king. This is after she discovered that he killed her father.
This movie presents a legendary epic about how to confront the king's injustice, and you have nothing but a loving heart and a loyal friend, and some words of encouragement that your mother left you, so what if your loyal friend abandons you, your mother dies, and the girl you love leaves you without Pity, here Ibrahim falls, so he cannot resist these events, as you know that he always stands in the face of circumstances, the betrayal of relatives breaks him more than the difficult circumstances.

I watched this movie on a very late time, three years after being released in fact. Ibrahim, the ideal hero, was living with his mother and saw his father murdering without any ability to prevent the killers. However, his mother has died leaving him alone within a bush of slums, nearby Cairo. The big guy, Mahmoud Abdel-Aziz who dressed in black, loves the girl that fallen in love with Ibrahim (I remembered Maria Magdalena at the moment). The story line is simple and ended with killing Ibrahim after being betrayed by his closest friend who took a few money in exchange of trapping Ibrahim at a coffee shop. Many friends said that I'm exaggeratedly interpreted the story, but I told them that the producing company is Good News, the Aramaic name of the New Testament! While I loved the cinematography, music, editing of that movie, I see Marawan Hamed, the director, a just clever director, not a creative one.
I have always heard lots of criticism about this movie to the point I was advised to save my money when it was released as it is not worth it and so I did!
Here I'm after all these years watching this great movie for the first time and learning a very good lesson 'Never trust what people say.' This movie is great and one of a kind in the history of Egyptian Cinema.
This movie deserves an Oscar.
With a powerhouse cast including Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, Ahmed El Sakka, and Amr Waked, this film delivers a raw and unforgettable experience. Every performance is intense and deeply emotional, especially Mahmoud Abdel Aziz, who gave one of the greatest villain portrayals in Arab cinema history. The cinematography, the direction by Marwan Hamed, and the brutal realism of the story make this film stand out.
This movie is iconic. 👏 It's full of legendary Egyptian stars and moments that stay with you long after it ends.
Warning: +16 only - contains strong violence, graphic action, and blood.
If you're into gritty, powerful storytelling with emotional weight and top-tier acting, I promise you'll have an amazing experience. Don't miss it.
