I have been watching this show on DVR and it is actually a very good show. My wife told me that it was not doing very well in the ratings game so I figured I would do what I can to let it be known that there are people who love this show and would be sad to see it go. In every episode, they start with a body or, in some cases, body parts. Throughout the show you get a little more information until, at the end, they show you exactly what happened. I like it better than CSI, Bones, or any of the other similar shows. Perhaps that is the problem; the forgotten has been preceded by so many similar shows that people are tired of the same old same old. But give this show a try.

REALLY good show! Even overlooked it myself at first. Wanted to see it when it first came out, but it was on opposite one of my faves. Now, I usually watch this. If I can't catch it, I make SURE to dvr it!!!! All of the stories and actors are great in it! I have always been a fan of Christian Slater, and the other actor are up to his caliber. Elisha Cuthbert is a new and welcome addition! The story lines are very different from all the other detective shows. Instead of focusing on the criminal, this show focuses on the victim. It's all about identifying the "John Does" and "Jane Does" of this country. It focuses on putting some closure for some families out there. How many families a year have loved ones missing out there, when there are plenty of "Does" in our morgues and cemeteries? A much welcome and fresh new take on the "detective" genre. To the network,PLEASE keep it on the air!
While flipping through channels one day, I came across the previews for this show and decided to give it a shot. Turns out I ended up liking it even more as things progressed in the first episode with ample character development and a plot with many twists and turns that keeps you on the edge of your seat at a steady pace. The key aspect that clicked with me was the dynamics of this amateur group of detectives that have their reasons for joining in the fight for justice for those that have become "forgotten" by deadly circumstances beyond their control and with sheer determination and will, they become personally and emotionally involved in the case. With all the other crime shows out now, I would say that "The Forgotten" is nicely ranked up there with the likes of "CSI", Criminal Minds, and of course Cold Case. Lets hope ABC rests their laurels on this one. One of the best crime shows on the air.
Alex Donovan (Christian Slater) suffered a personal loss. He decided to start a group of like-minded civilian volunteers to identify John/Jane Does for the police. Everybody bring their own special skills to the team.
Of the three recent Christian Slater led TV efforts, I liked this one the most. Along with Christian, this star Michelle Borth, Anthony Carrigan, Bob Stephenson, and Rochelle Aytes. Heather Stephens was let go midway thru the season which lasted 17 episodes. As a procedural, it has just enough originality to be slightly different. The team has good chemistry especially from Michelle Borth. I guess that this just wasn't flashy enough.

I love this show, the problem is that this show is competing with the Good Wife for viewers. I think that it gives a different angle to a crime shows. LE doesn't always have the time to investigate unidentified dead cases. I also enjoyed "Without a Trace". I am so sick and tired of reality shows. I want something that is going to at least make me think. My family also enjoyed Sleeper Cell, but it was way to realistic. If only the public knew how realistic it is. Maybe the government made them shut that show down. So if you like to solve mysteries and like to problem solve, then this would be a show for you. I didn't know about it because it was always playing when the Good Wife was on, but one day there was a re-run, so we flipped the channel. We would TIVO them so we didn't miss an episode.
