Apple TV+ is increasing its monthly price. (So much for that whole discount thing.)

The streaming service will now cost $12.99 per month in the U.S., up from $9.99, representing a 30 percent increase. The price hike is effective as of today, Thursday, Aug. 21, 2025, for new customers; existing customers will see their bill go up within 30 days.

“Select international markets” will also see a monthly-price increase, Apple said in a statement sent to The Hollywood Reporter.

The $99.99 annual rate for Apple TV+ remains unchanged, as does the pricing for Apple’s big bundle of services, Apple One (starting at $19.95/month).

Apple TV+ remains the only major streamer to not have an ad-supported option. The SVOD service last raised its price in October 2023, another $3/month jump.

Brad Pitt’s highly ambitious F1: The Movie has completed its first loop ahead of the upcoming premiere, with its review embargo now lifted. The movie is directed by Joseph Kosinski, famed for Top Gun: Maverick, who styled this Formula 1 sports flick in a similar point-of-view canvas.

At last, F1 has faced its first set of movie critics, and its Rotten Tomatoes score is out. But how has it performed compared to other recent films starring the Troy actor, his Interview with the Vampire rival Tom Cruise, and, more importantly, other racing dramas?

A new thriller movie, starring Julianne Moore and Sydney Sweeney, is now Apple TV+'s top movie. Sweeney earned her place as a household name after starring in HBO's Euphoria as Cassie Howard in 2019. She has since gone on to star in The White Lotus, the box office success Immaculate (2024), and Sony's disappointing Madame Web (2024).
