Alot of the worst reviews seem to be from people bothered the show has Black leads, is focused on an HBCU and has an LBGTQ+ character. The show isn't perfect but isn't it bad. If you have been a fan of All American, you'll appreciate Homecoming as a fan of the world, getting to know what was a small character that became a bigger one in Simone. The issues being addressed in the show are real ones in the struggles of student-athletes, the issues HBCUs are facing with financial and accreditation statuses and inclusion. The details aren't perfect, but it has potential. And i personally appreciate diversity on television.
Every time I watch an episode I am reminded of the Quad. A story that center's around incoming freshmen that have all the answers while creating the most drama. Sprinkled in is some adults with their own dysfunction. It's even easier when Payton Smith is basically playing the same role he played in the Quad. The only difference is he is an athlete instead of a want to be rapper. It is better than the Quad but I can see it is heading in the same direction that killed the Quad.

First off, I would say give the show a chance. I watched the original All American and admit I did not like Simone at all. When I heard she was the lead on a spinoff, I thought it was a terrible idea. I'm current with Homecoming and can say that Simone has made great strides as a character. The ensemble cast does a decent job and have their own storylines/arcs. Yes, no one can work through their own personal issues but gives the best advice to other characters which is consistent with the original All American. It's a nice change of pace to an HBCU college campus. I enjoy the show and don't take it too serious. Just my opinion.

With the current season of All American becoming a too cheesy cliche of a post high school world AAHC really wraps it in together. The plot is excellent and allows us to focus on a previous side character and witness her grow and try and focus on surviving college life and a failing long distance relationship.

This show is entertaining enough; however, you can't take it too seriously. The writing is just as bad as the original All American, but the storylines are a bit better (maybe I'm biased because I'm an HBCU grad!). None of the scripts are believable whatsoever... nor at ALL how real people act. If you go into this knowing that it's practically a soap opera, then you can certainly find some entertainment in it! There are so many moments where the acting was so poor, or the line was ridiculously corny, or the dramatic ridiculous tension that you just can't help but laugh. Definitely not my first choice, but okay enough to keep up with.

I watch All American and enjoy it so I gave this spinoff a chance. As much as I want to like it, I find myself rolling my eyes every 10 min. It's unrealistic for college kids with real life problems to handle their issues like very mature experienced adults in every episode. Too many kumbaya moments. It's cheesy.

This series is a sequel to the first show All American, however it focuses on Simone Hicks and her time at Bringston College. I've always wanted to attend a historically black college or university because, when many colleges and universities refused to accept black students, HBCU accepted them and provided them with a higher education as well as the opportunity to learn about more black leaders and join a sorority or sisterhood. I like how another well-known character, Cam, has been introduced to the series, and how his backstory is being expanded. It's interesting to learn about sports that you don't usually hear about, such as tennis and baseball. I adore JR and Damon's brotherly relationship, I hope they are brothers.

If you hear that the show you've been watching is getting cancelled, you'd expect them to wrap it up nicely. They still had loose ends we didn't get to see Simone's chance to win a conference finals trophy or who would get to be with Keisha.
I was quite displeased with the lack of Damon in the show. Just to throw him back into the fold to screw with Lando's mind.
To not see what happened with their Bringston HBCU Sports Museum. What ended up happening with the future of Bringston University considering they were axing sports funding basically across the board. It also towards the end just seemed repetitive like this never ending cycle with their relationships.
I'm interested to see what happens with Season 7 of All American. Since that is also losing their central character.

Mediocre at best. Dry, unrealistic storylines. Too many of the side characters have storylines that take up too much time away from the main character's story. None of the characters are incredibly interesting.

I love the show! The characters are amazing and the storylines are great! Please renew for a new season! The cliff hanger has me wanting more. The show enlightens and educates how HBCUs are amazing. I hope the network renews for another season. I would like to see how the characters navigate through the remaining college years. I would also like to see life after Bringston University. It would be nice to see additional characters added. New freshman. I would like to see mentorship and students enjoy more of college life without so many stressors. Keep the fashions amazing and unique. I also love how administration cares for their students.
The show is bland. There's nothing new, profound, or riveting going on. It's one of those show you can just have playing in the background without feeling like you are missing anything. Firstly, the main characters are not interesting enough/doesn't shine off to keep the interest. A couple of the supporting characters seem more interesting right off the bat I guess it depends on how the show continues. Secondly, the sports choices are just bad. Should've just focused strictly on tennis, baseball wasn't needed. Also a good point to note that they have them playing baseball in the fall (it's a spring sport). Thirdly, it's hard to miss that the show is repeating/re-using storylines that we've already seen on the home show. If the show wants any success it needs to focus on being it's own thing. Build the characters and make them interesting to watch and root for. As of now, the storylines between the adults (Coach Turner, Amara) has been more entertaining which is worrying for a show claimed to be a "college show"
We needed this show.
Please share.
It's suitable for the culture.
It inspired me to join an hbcu.
Simone is carrying her own show.
This is great I love it.

All American: Homecoming is a drama set in July 2024 at Bringston University in Atlanta, Georgia. Simone is a talented tennis player hailing from the posh city of Beverly Hills, California and Damon is a skilled baseball player from the bustling city of Chicago, Illinois. Both Simone and Damon have decided to compete in college sports at a Historically Black College in Atlanta, Georgia, which has a rich and diverse sporting culture. As they embark on this new journey together, they are bound to face thrilling challenges and exciting opportunities that will help them grow both as athletes and individuals.
One of the things that I appreciate the most about the show is how it captures the essence of the culture it portrays, making it relatable and appealing to those familiar with it. The storytelling is excellent, and it has the power to immerse viewers in the narrative creating a sense of connection between the audience and the characters. If you are someone who resonates with the values and traditions depicted in All American: Homecoming, then I would highly recommend giving this show a watch. You'll find yourself rooting for the characters as they navigate through their personal and professional struggles, and the show's positive message about the power of hard work and determination is truly inspiring. Overall, if you're looking for a show that captures the spirit of American culture and celebrates the resilience of the human spirit, then All American: Homecoming is definitely worth checking out.

So at first I let was a bit boring and I didn't like it much because I was expecting the regular All American crew to be present (Spencer, Asher, etc.). But I realize that's not what it was but rather a spin off meant to focus on other characters so when I judged it as such I started to like it a lot more. I think POC appreciate it a bit more seeing as though mostly POC attend HBCUs. That might be where the disconnect is with other non POC viewers is that they aren't used to not being represented.

THE SHOW IS GREAT. The series features a cast of diverse characters, highlighting various cultural backgrounds and experiences. This representation resonates with many viewers and reflects real-world dynamics. It tackles important themes like ambition, identity, friendship, and the struggles of young adults. The characters navigate personal and professional challenges, making their journeys relatable. The characters are well-developed and undergo significant growth throughout the series. Viewers can see their struggles, triumphs, and relationships evolve. As a spin-off of "All American," it incorporates sports elements that add excitement and intensity. The competitive atmosphere often serves as a backdrop for deeper personal stories.

Was a little skeptical at first because Simone is not my favorite character on All American but the show is great with good plot and storyline. Love it and can't wait for season 2.

This show ROCKS! We need more of it tbh. I watched the show "All American" which one of their episodes lead me to watch All American Homecoming series. This brings attention to a lot of things. This also makes people want to go to an HBCU. Because they find out that it exist. Some people don't know these schools exist, & know the history behind it. Great show, & i really hope this gets a second season.

I love All American Homecoming. I love Simone and Jordan but I'm so hopeful for Simone and Damon.
Separating the cast was a great idea. Its allowing us to see them all in a different light.

I was unsure how the story line would tie in to all American but writers did a great job. All American Homecoming I feel has the capacity to be it's own stand alone show at this point. It's relatable to people who are apart of the culture the show is telling the stories of. I found myself relating to each character in some way with the storyline an it even draws me into wanting to be apart of it. I myself having a background in acting/improv and it makes me excited about getting back into picking up roles. I really do hope that we get a couple more seasons out of this show I would love to see them as seniors. This is easily my favorite show on television right now.

Season 3 is Incredible from beginning to end. The storyline as Simone progresses from her last relationship on towards a new one is well done, sweet, sensual without raunch, loving and filled with anticipation of the outcome.
I love the actors, scenery Everything about this wonderful series.
