A brilliant perspective on the social barriers women faced in the Renaissance era. Both thrilling and heartbreaking, the story takes you through the lives of two women and their history of friendship and peril.
The music has a gentle, sweet melody during the lighter parts of the film but also offers haunting dissonance when you are at the edge of your seat, wondering what will happen next?
The cinematography offers thoughtful, meaningful transitions, and the film at large is pleasingly fluid. And the costumes, hand-made by Hally and Lizzie, add a wonderful touch of color to the screen, and lack no attention to detail.
This film will leave you pondering, and wanting more from these artists. I urge them to make it a full length film.
