Avis à la une
Seemed like a cool concept for a movie and was hoping it was going to be good. Unfortunately it was slow, lame, uninteresting and had terrible acting. The directing and AI screen writing sucked as well, why not let a human do that? After a half hour the movie went nowhere and was not interesting. It had so much potential and Disney ruined it. The weird Sci-Fi RV part of it made it way too weird and not make sense. Meet the Millers was 10x better than this. I'm not sure why they couldn't pre-screen this movie before releasing it, a seven year old would've told them it was lame. Oh well, another 1 star movie next to Snow White.
Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Road Trip (2025) is a standalone sequel to the 2014 movie and it was just as pointless as I expected it to be.
Positives for Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Road Trip (2025): The acting from the cast is pretty good for what they had to work with. The movie isn't as bad as I thought it would be. That's all I've got to say for the positives.
Negatives for Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Road Trip (2025): There is no reason for this movie to exist aside from Disney wanting to possibly start a franchise. The plot is very formulaic and not funny. This feels like some generic road trip movie with a couple of changes made to the script. And finally, the movie is forgettable.
Overall, Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Road Trip (2025) is a bad movie and an unnecessary sequel to a good movie.

Definitely not as bad as I thought it was going to be.
It serves as a fun family movie, those family movies that you used to put on and just have fun with it. That's what this movie serves. (A movie where your grandma would laugh out loud at)! The plot isn't great, it is predictable, but it's fun.
Like I said, plot, isn't that well written and movie can be boring here and there, but back in the day when Netflix used to have all these families straight to streaming movies that were good. This movie serves as that.
I do have problems with the plot overall and other things, but you can just throw that all aside and just enjoy the movie!

This sequel delivers familiar family-road comedy vibes and tries to explore cultural themes, but ultimately falls flat due to weak humor and minimal chemistry. Julian Roman notes that themes of learning your roots and respecting cultural differences almost make up for the strained attempts at humor and a surprising lack of cast chemistry .
For me, the movie features a few cute moments (especially from Cheech Marin), but most of the slapstick feels tired and predictable. The "bad luck curse" idol adds a memorable twist, yet the stakes rarely feel real, and the characters seldom grow beyond caricatures.
It's not a terrible watch-kids may enjoy the physical comedy-but adults will likely be bored by the formulaic setup and lack of genuine laughs. A passable, if forgettable, family flick.

This movie had the potential to give a new take on the family road-trip troupe. However, whether being produced by Disney or held back by a pg rating, it's just never funny and chokes at every badly comedic moment. If your are looking for a funny rv trip, We're the Millers or RV will be better choices for you. I will say, it was nice to see Eva back on camera though.
Here's the synopsis of the film (aka I'm trying to fill character requirements): the story follows a Mexican-American family who goes on a roadtrip to Mexico to reconnect with their family roots, but things go horribly wrong after they discover a cursed idol.
