Due to strict anti-Nazi laws, Germany does not allow the public depiction of Nazi symbols, except in historical contexts or in artistic works. As games are not considered works of art but toys under this rule, the makers had to work around this by not referring to Indy's adversaries as "Nazis", but simply "Germans". All swastikas were also replaced by iron crosses. These modifications were made for all territories, an not simply for the German version.
This is the only official Indiana jones adventure in which Indy doesn't carry a satchel
