To Thomas, the world meant his Appa, Amma, and his elder brother whom he calls with love 'Achacha'. When his Appa and Amma left the world, all he had was his Achacha, and Achacha being a special kid, Thomas knew he had to look after Achacha, just the way his Appa and Amma looked after him. But when he gets separated from his Achacha, Thomas had nobody else in life. The words of his relatives whom he thought wouldn't separate them betrayed him. All these years later, Thomas still has unconditional love for his elder brother. Even if the adoptive parents allow them both to see, Thomas isn't happy with the type of relationship he has with his own blood. Thomas is yearning to bring his elder brother back into his life, but Achacha's condition doesn't allow him to do so. This is the story of a Brother desperation, to bring back what could have been a perfect childhood. Thomas and Sebu, played by George Kora and Gopikrishna Verma, are two characters with a heartwarming bond that touches your heart. Throughout the movie, I laughed, I cried, and I loved all the people that come and go, thanks to the Music and Background music that elevates certain scenes that warm the audience with love and pain. Filled with small moments of happiness, sadness, and hope, Thirike tells a bitter-sweet story of two brothers on their way back to their roots and speaks out loud that children with genetic disorders are also humans and they deserve the same love, affection, and respect as everyone else.

This Movie Wonderfully Portraits The Bond Between Two Brothers. The Love And Care Of A Younger Brother To His Elder One. In My Suggestion This One Is A Must Watch Feel Good Movie. George Kora You Had Done It Very Well Man.

Before watching thirike, i thought it would be one tearjerker, since one brother is having down syndrome. The beginning of the film had already given me that feeling as the brothers get separated soon and a classic song plays.

But soon we are introduced to the adult Thomas played by co director George kora himself as a street smart and cunning character. He frequently visits his brother ismu which does not go well with ismu's foster mother fathima. To bring back ismu's memory, Thomas kidnaps him and takes him to their ancestral house. Rest of the movie is whether ismu gets his memory or not.

As I said, I thought thirike would be a tearjerker but to my surprise its filled with lot of light and fun moments. But still it has some heartwarming moments too. Gopikrishna as ismu was not acting but reacting. Thomas character was fun but George kora's dialogue delivery was amateur at many instances. Sarasu balussery as ammachi was also nice. Shanthi krishna and gopan mangattu also performed well. Film ends on a happy note too.

On the whole, thirike is a feel good and heartwarming sibling relationship which i really loved.

It's an awesome movie. One of the slow pace feel good movie. Actors done their job perfectly especially the two main lead roles. It has lots situations that will touch your your heart.
