I watched KARAUDE (The Arm) 2010 version and wanted to score and review but couldnt find it anywhere on imdb which is puzzling.

I much preferred the version. It was longer also.

I absolutely loved this adaptation from Kawabata. For me it actually made sense of the story which I've read long ago. it is visually restrained and cleverly avoids cheap surrealism.

This is truly truly awful. still can't get over how bad this horrendous crap is. You are warned, don't bother watching this rubbish. This so called movie makes little sense. It seems to have no logical following or reasons for some things to happen. I felt bored and confused at times. plain boring, unimaginative, half baked and amateurish feels like it was made by someone who got up one morning and thought it would be a good idea to make a film and proceeded to do so without any serious thought. rubbish, complete piece of crap This is one of a small number of films that I've literally not been able to make it to the end of, because it was frankly so mind-numbingly stupid and boring. I left about minitues before the end. Before my intestines leaped out of my stomach and throttled me to end the stupidity and boredom.
