Avis à la une
On a scale 1 to 10 i'd give this movie a -1 (a mean MINUS one). It's a complete waste of time, more yet it's an insult to one's intelligence. Those quatrains they keep on quoting could mean anything, but no, they just had to interpret it their way. No one could ever decipher a quatrain to actually predict anything. It is a complete idiotic film, it doesn't even worth the value of the disc it is printed on. Those lunatic, drug-addicted people sees disasters everywhere and anywhere. I think the only disaster it's (in) their heads. This film is such a mess i don't know where it begins and where it ends. There are absolutely no narrative guidelines, just some patched flash-episodes stitched together. The mixing of the antique cultures is incredibly awful and the decoding of the Nostradamus' lost pictures is so hilarious that it won't foul not even a 3 year old kid. I wish i could write more about this movie but i'm simply out of words. Don't waste your time on this movie, not even if you got a death wish.
I found this program to be more comical than entertaining. It basically tries to scare people that the world is going to end in 2012 through repetition, if you keep telling someone that it's true. eventually people will believe it, that is what this program is attempting. There are no real facts or any kind of academic research. 5 minutes of real content is reworded over one and half hour...
All the people in the film are basically fictional authors who make money off scaring people. Odds are these people will jump onto the next 'end of world' fad once 2012 pass without event.
One of the authors even goes as far as to use a Star Trek metaphor...I actually wanted to punch him in the face.

I thought I was going to hear something interesting about Nostradamus' predictions in this History Channel documentary. Sadly, I was very disappointed seeing that the documentary only stated about "galactic alignment". Every 10 minutes or so, we hear the narrator talking about galactic alignment, which is quite disappointing as this is a 90 minute documentary! On the other hand, it was good to see Gregg Braden, who is the author of the Divine Matrix and the interviews were kinda okay. However, seeing this documentary made me realize that the History Channel is very biased. I mean, the end of the world?! Didn't Nostradamus predict something in 1999 about Genghis Khan? The documentary should have taken an alternative side as to what else might have happened, which angered me.
I really knew this was gonna be total BS but it saddens me to think that mass-media notions still fool modern people into believing the end of the world.

Don't get me wrong History is one of the best broadcasting channel on television but the documentaries shown are somewhat inclined to only view the other side of the spectrum is not mentioned. This is almost true for Nostradamus 2012. It gives a revelation of the upcoming catastrophic events before and in the year 2012 as predicted by the prophet Nostradamus. Although on paper this sounds compelling but the theories produced are not practical in nature. I ask, why are all the predictions about are future so dire and disturbing? Year 2012 is no different from any other the views put forward don't have any scientific backing. Is a decent view but should not be taken as the truth.
A documentary clearly made to stir fear and uncertainty. No scientific basis or common sense to it. Nostradamus's quatrains have no predictive power whatsoever, but a lot postdictive one, as people reinterpret them to fit historical events that have already happened. This documentary just dwells on the most sensationalistic aspects of Nostradamus's nonsense, letting imagination go unrestrained on the basis of some verses that can be interpreted to fit just about any event.
In a nutshell, this is an almost worthless program. No doubt the History Channel will be making money out of it (which is of course the idea) because of the many gullible viewers out there who have yet to develop any critical thinking. However, the seriousness and credibility of the History Channel are now seriously besmirched.
