This show does an amazing job at displaying the many, many intersections that first and second generation south asians face. In fact, this might be the only show to capture it in such a way. While much of the show is funny, there are plenty of scenes that are hard hitting and intense. Specific topics like marriage, education, and religion are points that the entire south asian diaspora in the west can relate to.

The only thing I could really critique is the acting. There is a gap of practice/experience between the cast. Given the space this show occupies in the west, we have to remember south asians in the west are not encouraged to pursue the arts or writing. How many opportunities truly exist for south asians in hollywood and the like to pursue roles that do not encourage the stereotype. This show is a massive step in the right direction, and I am excited to see what Jasmeet does next.

It started of slow, but second half of the show is truly some of the best tv i've seen in years. Season 2 is a must.

First of all Jus is really fking good in this, his performance feels authentic and unique.

I how real this whole show feels, especially the relationships between Jus and his parents.

It really shows a realistic family dynamic that we don't see that often in tv & movies. I could really relate to Jus as a son of an immigrant aswell.

It's rare to see a brown character who is more than just a 2 dimentional character. And the whole cast did a great job, also the writing and directers were top notch.

Last thing: Jus's dad was the best character, I got ptsd watching him on my screen😅

A simple storytelling with beautiful messages. Much awaited come back for Jasmeet and its worth. Every immigrant ,specially Punjabis can relate. It talks about reality good and bad, you might not find drama or action in this

Its a simple story, only issue I found was some of the characters Punjabi was little broken. Perhaps they should have hired actual Punjabi actors from back home. There are some times that you will get a little bored but it will catch up.

Overall, it's a beautiful story telling with meaningful message in every episode. From doing Youtube videos to having own crave show its hell of a journey.

I really love how the sensitive topic of turban was tackled in fourth episode. The show is maturing with every episode.

The storyline is getting interesting and you get invested in the characters. Jusreign did a very good job with writing.

I still think this needs to be promoted more as it has potential to be as big as Kim's convenience if marketed correctly outside of Punjabi- Canadian community.

The only complaint I have is the length of each episode is not long enough, I hope runtime will increase as the show progresses... Anyway, Good luck to everyone attached to this project and waiting patiently for next 2 episodes.

The show is decent with some good characters. It has it moments but falls short a few times too. Overall, Jusreign did a good job as an actor and a writer too. I believe the show will get better as it progresses and I am looking forward to it. It's wonderful to see a turbaned guy as a lead on a show streaming on an international platform.

Again, looking forward to see all the characters develop as the show progresses and hopefully the comedy will get better too. Babbu needs to be on screen a little more for sure.

This show resonated with me, surpassing my expectations. Its humor and relatable moments offer a nostalgic reflection on various aspects. It was a strong representation of the brown community in the western world, which has been very rare to come by. There's a lot of potential with this show and I'm excited to see where it goes as Jasmeet Raina has a lot to still show us the viewers. It was a show to easily enjoy and will put a smile on your face by the end of each episode. It has a solid representation of 1st and 2nd generation sikhs who aren't religiously inclined from the first two episodes.

He could make so much more content like this, not sure why he stopped. He would be bigger than most other brown stars.

The series is short but very to the point with the unique Jus Reign type of humour on serious situations.

If anything is bad, its the fake Punjabi accent by his mother. It sounds almost like it was a slurred version of Punjabi or a different dialect. Maybe he is of mixed descent as his surname Raina suggests.

Overall I'd recommend this to anyone that watches Babbu or Jus Reign back in the day, or even Sangtar Singh on Youtube. Great comedy amongst the perils of being brown and living abroad.

This show has great writing, great acting, and it touches on very sensitive topics. Jusreign has done an incredible job with this show. As a Punjabi myself a lot of the themes in this show resonate with me and this show addresses issues Punjabi's face in a meaningful way. Not only does this show touch on serious topics but it also has a good amount of humor in every episode which makes it an enjoyable watch. The only issue I have with the show is the run time of the episodes. The episodes feel short and I hope they are made a little longer as the series goes on. I am looking forward to the next two episodes and I think this show is a must watch.

As I eagerly anticipate season 2, I'm already tempted to rewatch the entire series - it's just that good.

My favourite character was the mom; a poet, a gourmet cook, a wife, a friend, a mother, a strong supporter of her community. Such a sweet but strong character. I also enjoyed the dad, especially when he helps young people just arriving in Canada, a universal theme. As a caucasian, it was educational in that it confirms my suspicions that this community can be racist too (e.g., against caucasians) as are many other cultures. Racism is not solely the domain of one race or culture. That would be a good topic for an episode.

I hope that there are many other seasons as I like to see more Canadian content and that this industry continues to supports our artists.

I am very old and do not keep up with the latest comedians, etc. It was a pleasure to learn about Jus Reign, as I never heard of him before. I hope his show gets renewed. Best of luck, young man !

As a fan of JusReign and a Punjabi Canadian living in the GTA I can certainly feel the promise and authenticy of the show, however the writing, acting and overall story all fall short.

Episodes 1-2 seemed interesting and had potential but it's been all downhill from there.

Casting JusReign as the lead character was a bold move but his talents do not translate over from YT to the small screen.

The best characters are his father, Sunny the token Punjabi trucker guy and Neal his white cousin. The rest are poor actors or have horrible writing that they have to overcome.

The entire ark of seeing Jasmeet riz with his love interest is completely cringe and not entertaining and that's just one of the many strange tangents the show writers take which never really get the show's story going.

The show ultimately comes off as preachy, very amateur and would have been better suited as a low budget web series than a featured show on Crave.

Hopefully if it gets picked up for a second season and they can focus more on the joke writing and put comedy first as well as hire better actors but I'm not optimistic.

We got the old Jusreign back. The Show isn't exactly like his old youtube stuff but it's combined with a great story and humor. If you are searching for a great series where the main cast is brown, you will definitely love it. Especially when you are punjabi/brown yourself, there will be many relatable scenes. I don't know why Jasmeet stopped making his YouTube videos back then but we all waited so long for his come back and now it's there, you definitely should give yourself a try and watch the series. Even though, if you don't have ever watched his iconic videos from back then, you still will like it.

This show made me cry for the first time in 15 years.

As a Punjabi man born and raised in Brampton, it felt like I was watching my own life unfold on screen. The characters are so multifaceted and relatable, and the writing is absolutely immaculate.

Every community needs someone who can help generations speak to one another, who bridges the gap with empathy, honesty, and humour. Jasmeet has always been that person for us. He holds up a mirror to our culture, reflecting its absurdity, beauty, and complexity in ways that make us laugh, cry, and, most importantly, understand each other a little better. Each time he does this, our generations connect just a bit more, and we take a step closer to healing as a community.

Although the days of "Chillin on mon porch" are behind him, Jasmeet brings the same openness, vulnerability, and humour to everything he creates. And with this show, he goes even deeper, drawing from a more profound understanding of his own experiences, and inviting us to do the same.

This show helped me see perspectives within my own family that I had never considered, and has opened doors to conversations that once felt impossible. For that, and so much more, thank you, Jasmeet Singh Raina.

This series was so refreshing for Canadian television. Canadian television is often dry and boring but this was It told the story so eloquently and brought together the never-been-told second generation immigrant story. I also was reminded of my love for the OG YouTubers and it told a harsh reality of what it's really like. It explains what really goes on behind the scenes. It was hilarious and soo heart warming. I miss Jus and I felt this was the perfect entry for him into network television. This is just the beginning for him and it shows in the best way possible. He's truly talented....................

Season 1 got good towards the end. The same is happening with season 2. But season 2 starts where season 1 left. This show is seriously getting incredible

Late Bloomer Season 2 - 10/10

This season isn't just good-it's soul-punchingly brilliant. Late Bloomer Season 2 takes everything the first season laid down and cranks it up with more maturity, grit, and emotional intelligence. It's the kind of storytelling that doesn't rush the journey-it lets the awkward silences, setbacks, and small wins breathe, and in doing so, it mirrors real life in a way that's painfully honest and beautifully moving.

Character development? Off the charts. Every single character feels fleshed out, with their flaws, growth, and contradictions on full display. The lead's journey in particular is a masterclass in slow-burn transformation-there's no overnight success, no magical "aha" moment, just the steady, often messy work of becoming.

What really makes this season shine is how it tackles vulnerability, purpose, and belonging without preaching or pandering. It's not afraid to sit in the discomfort, to show someone stumbling even when they're trying their best. And when the breakthroughs come? They hit deep.

Visually and tonally, it strikes that perfect balance between cinematic polish and raw indie grit. And the writing? Sharp, witty, but still emotionally resonant.

If you've ever felt like you were "too late" in life or stuck watching others pass you by, this show reaches out and quietly reminds you: your time is coming. And maybe-just maybe-it's not about when you bloom, but how fully you do when you finally let yourself.

Great show must watch . No idea why season 1 is not Netflix already , will be super viral once it does . Really a great depiction of the life of a first gen immigrant kid. Check it out a 100 % and why has not Netflix picked it up already ? Expats around the world will love the show . Jagmeet has a super authentic voice and looking forward to the next season . The family depicted is also very authentic first generation immigrants trying to find the footing in a new land while balancing cultural differences between no lands. The struggle to make ends meet is also real. Pick the show up Netflix , no one knows what crave is outside of cananda .

First of all, I'm partial because I'm exactly the right demography targeted for this show - south Asian, Punjabi, Canadian and I've followed JusReign since I was kid. He was a big part of my youth so of course I loved the show. It had some weak moments, but it also had some great moments - laughter, thought provoking, emotional, complex characters, a little bit of everything. It also had A LOT of fan service for his OG content consumers.

It also had its weak moments - minor plot holes, bad acting (mom) but nothing that would sway me from not rewatching it

I want to start off with saying I was waiting for this show to drop for the longest time. Hearing that show was being made by JusReign ignited the inner child within me.

After watching the first episode I can say i'm disappointed. I'll start with the redeeming qualities. The show manages to weave amicable storylines and character development is well thought out, with complex relationships and conflicts that add depth to the overall narrative. The dialogue is somewhat sharp and witty and I wouldn't expect less from Jasmeet. However most of the jokes are just tongue in cheek humor.

However, the same cannot be said for the acting, which unfortunately falls short of expectations. The cast seems to struggle with delivering lines convincingly, often resulting in awkward and forced performances. Emotional scenes, in particular, come across as shallow and lacking the authenticity needed to make a genuine connection with the audience. It's just hard to take Jasmeet seriously in this. His acting ends up falling so flat.

If you can get past the acting this show has potential. I unfortunately can not.

This show tries to take itself way too seriously. From the beginning, I knew it was going to surface level shallow. Imagine "Atlanta" but with the most boring plotlines and humor that makes you forget to laugh. Most of the jokes are forced in to remind you that Jasmeet was originally a comedian, but they end up feeling so forced.

I think Jasmeet thought he was doing something new here, but it just ended up being pretentious. Some scenes are cringe that I just couldn't take it seriously. I already don't care for some characters, which is a bad sign for a show that just started. I honestly expected more.

It's very easy to give this show a high rating because it's JusReign and a fellow South Asian with his own Crave TV Show. I am four episodes in and it entertaining enough to keep on in the background. It doesnt require my full attention and many parts are so boring.

None in the show except for his dad in the show is a good actor.

The show definitely touches topics that I am sure Punjabi and Sikhs are happy to see being addressed.

It is simply a rip off of the Ramy show. I genuinely think he tried to do the same thing but a Sikh Punjabi version.

I am sorry this just isn't it, better screenwriting and acting is at minimum required. I will continue watching but I am bored already.

Generic, corny storylines that have been done many times. The funniest character is the dimwit but he doesn't hold a candle to Chabuddy G. There is this white guy who's Indian/Sikh? He embodies the show. Trying so hard to not try hard.

The show also looks terrible in Crave 720p.

Despite admitting the shortcomings, the reviewer still gave a 10/10. How can we expect our community to perform as well as everyone else when we aren't holding our creators to the same level?

The show is a major skip. Boring, mundane, self-obsessed, and, politically and intellectually dishonest.

I love how most of these 10/10 reviews are basically "love the show BUT..." This just goes to show most of these 10/10's are just fans of Jasmeet rather than actually being critical of the show.

If I wanted to watch someone awkwardly flirt with a girl I would just go outside and bomb at it myself. Some of the dialogue was so cringe that I had a scowl on my face most of the time.

This show isn't deep. It touches upon issues in a sikh household in surface level manner.

Jasmeet is just not likable in this. Stick with Jusreign or better yet, quit while you're ahead.

You either die a hero or you end up being a sell-out.
