Aarattu movie feels like Mohanlal birthday mashup video or tribute vedio. Movie filled with Mohanlals old movie scenes and bgms. The filmmaker himself proved he is not capable of creating new one. As Like Mohanlal said in an interview the movie is watchable to telegu viewers because its making is like tollywood style. Disapointing movie and Disapointing to see Legent actor like Mohanlal commiting to these type of movies.

Mohan Lal lost his facial expression..don't know why .. I think it may be something to do with facial surgery or something..don't know..face look stiff..no expression is expressed fully...just a super star movie for fans .. boring irritating in many parts ..lacking...

This movie is one of the best example of missuse of stardom.

Yes we have seen poor movies with poor scripts get away with actor's charm and screen presence in mollywood but what set this apart is it's poor technicalties . There is scene where we can see 4 missdirected source of light and other drawback is the editing.it is edited in way which detact us away from the movie. Even though the biggest selling point of this movie Mohanlal is convincing enough but still can be considered one of the worst performances in recent times. And if any one thinks that I am one of the so called 'degraders' you can just watch the movie then hate me ...

I love mohan lal that is exactly the reason i disliked Aaraattu.

Please stop directing movies.

Dear Mohanlal,

Please stop giving dates to your friends and try to do projects with the new directors and script writers.

Please stop watching Telugu masala movies.

Mohanlal, of late has lost his talent to detect good scripts. The film Aaarattu although set up on a generic Indian masala action flick, it lacks its serious tone midway with dialogues & references to the star's previous films.

The references keep on going to an extent that it turns irritating.

Mohanlal may have shed his sloth like acting and reclaimed his energy post "Marakkar" and " Big Brother", but the script is garbage.

For a man who penned "Cid Moosa" "Runway" "Twenty Twenty", this is rock bottom. Udayakrishna seems incapable of bringing in quality to his scripts post his break with Sibi K Thomas who also isn't doing well. Pulimurugan, Masterpiece, Aarattu.. Udayakrishna needs to reevaluate his thoughts and ego. Dialogues are pathetic. This film would've been much better as a silent film

With all the film references, jokes that doesn't hit anywhere and a lead full of energy with nowhereto go, this is Mohanlal's version of "Shylock" This film is barely watchable thanks to Mohanlal and Siddique. The action sequences were well choreographed and Rahul x Fejo theme song is phenomenal. Rest- pathetic.

Rahul Raj's BGM felt good initially, but listening on loop made it unbearable

Even an average script would've made this a hit. Mohanlal was this glamourous/ energetic/ charming in almost a decade. Yet makers chose to push in low quality dialogues with jokes with sexual inenduation. Story makes no sense even in the most masala perspective.

Wish it was made with a better script. The stunts and music wasted.

What a time waste and useless film. It's better I didn't watch it in theatres. Bruh, if I've watched I could've ran from theatres. Dear Director Unnikrishnan nirthee Vella panikkum podappa. And to mohanlal don't give dates to your friend directors, they're spoiling you. Give opportunity to new directors, they'll make you king of MFI. And to writer vella bhoddhi upayogiche katha endakkada...

Feels disappointed to see Mohan Lal is fading @ 60 his intelligence of script picking beyond God's Imagine.

Anthony, Priyadarshan (CC) Copycat, Sameer Hamsa ,Mukesh, Suresh etc Mohan lal read your script and pick up s great story not like Unnikrishnan filmography which is is trending downwards .

Laletten's introduction with bgm and some fight scenes are only good in this movie.

Story : 1/5 BGM : 4/5 first half : 3/5 Second half : 1/5.

Over all worst movie.

I really don't understand why a Bharat awardee, immensely talented, popular and rich actor like Mohan Lal continues to act in such crap movies - that offers him absolutely nothing! Newcomers often don't have any choice but to accept any 3rd grade role in any c-grade movie - for name, fame, money or awards - but seeing our Mohan Lal, an actor who has all this and more - in such movies makes me cry, literally!

Why cannot he learn from other senior actors - like Aamir Khan for instance - who become choosy as they mature, to such an extent that people actually look forward to their rare appearance on screen?

I can't be bothered to write about this movie, coz this cannot be called a movie and neither does it contain anything worth mentioning.

It's a fan boy mass film and the ultimate aim is to make them thrilled!

It's a complete mohanlal show , mohanlal at his best for action. Brilliant screen presence of lalettan, he carried the movie on his shoulders single handed. He again proved age are just numbers. We must appreciate his dedication, effort which he shows to his profession.

Script & climax could have been much better , climax was predictable .

A mass masala entertainer for Mohanlal fans.

All good accept climax. It feels very bore & lag.complete actor entry and mass fight scenes are supreb.. The bgm is a teriffic One with fujo vocals its make more excited to watch.

Why lalettan why?

Arattu by Unnikrishnan b is the worst most movie that lalettan recently done..even marakkar is far better than this ... bad story bad scenes bad script ... only siddique has done his job very interstingly .... felt so sorry for ar Rahman .... the entire crew is teasing him by giving such a role for a legend like ar rahman If u are a millionaire and want to sleep peacefully go for this movie Only the fight scenes and look of lalettan is a plus point we can only say.

Not expected such a blunder movie from LAL ettan again. Very bad script and cant tolerate this for more than an hour. Not an entertaining movie to a normal audient.

For such an utter flop movie, don't know why fans are giving hype like this... Disappointed up to the maximum. .

How a cinema shouldn't be that is B Unnikrishnan's Araattu. I am a man with high patients so i managed to watch the film fully in theatre. Somany people left theatre with in the first 40 minutes. Stop watching Mohan Lal movies. His era as a Hero ended. Now a days expressions don't come in his face and he is too old to handle Hero roles.

Just a movie made for fans and even then this movie fails miserably at being that. First half is barely entertaining with mohanlal but the second does it for me the suffering is inevitable. Stay away from this if you like mohanlal it will destroy your fandom.

A lot of slow motion, BGM, mass entries. A modern trend for sure but certainly lacking a watchable storyline.

So called action comedy movie where the audience find it extremely hard to keep up with the supposedly laughing parts, at-least where the director intended to.

Was just waiting for the movie to finish and there...another twist, accepted, again another possible ending and yet again another twist. It seems the director just didn't want to end the movie😅 To be frank, I just liked AR Rahman's cameo concert in the movie and i pray it wasn't his morphed face. Lol.

No offense towards the complete Actor, Mohanlal, but sir you can definitely select much better scripts to perform. 2 stars more only because of your presence!!

References to all lal's iconic movies was the greatest insult this movie has done. Cheap and pathetic encompasses all. Was there even a script for this crap. I feel sorry for every single person who acted in this movie. It's a disgrace to the malyalam film industry.

What a waste of a movie. I guess senility is affecting Mohanlal's decision making. Otherwise a person with even an average iq won't commit to movies like this. Don't waste your time with this.

Oh my god. What did I watch? Why did I watch it! I have to go back and watch an old Mohanlal movie to recover from this! Cannot believe why would someone make such a movie and why would Mohanlal agree to act in a movie like this. Disappointed!

Good movie and excellent directing. Mohanlals one of the best movie epic scenes also. Nice story love it superbly.and very welled story.iam giving this movie 10.

Sorry, "Arrattu" failed to impress me. Even charismatic Mohanlal could not save the movie because of its shoddy writing. Mohanlal is superb; But the story and screenplay didn't work out the way it should for an action packed mass movie. Felt like the story is a repetition of many of Uday's past movies.

Never ever think of watching this movie. I don't how we can call this as a movie. Also not sure why a great actor like Mohanlal is choosing a story like this. This is simple robbery by making fool of poor public and fans.

As if this movie appears to be a spoof of Mohanlal's previous movies which is overly filled with dialogues from his old movies and lots of references that's beyond acceptable and illogical . In many scenes it feels really awful and awkward,thanks to the script writer and director who made such a brave attempt that even can't satisfy the "so called fans". It's high time such movies must be discouraged.
