As a big Kikka fan I was expecting something glorious, but no.
The casting was off, the directing was off, it was thin and didn't get to the point. There was no confidence, it was unorganized mess. Good old Alan Smithee moment.
And it's no wonder, the director of this movie is just some girl; some overglorified actor who won some pro feminist price couple years ago. I guess it's the typical "let's get women do more, they can do it too". Just like that female Ghostbuster movie, just like female Formula 1 drivers, you get the point.
With a real professional director, this movie would have shined, they had the material, they had the budget, the concept. I would have LOVED this movie, absolutely. But now it was just a expensive toy given to people who just don't care about Kikka, they only care about pushing their political views.
This movie is a prime example what happens when you put people with a political agenda to make a movie about innocent pop star who would have not care less about that kind of things..
Maybe some day we get a movie about Kikka, and not this kind of surface scratching hyperactive nonsense.

I really enjoyed watching this movie. They knew how to make it feel authentic and touching through the whole thing. It made my cry several times when Kikka's story was told and scenes was so beautifully created.
It was nice to see a movie about talented woman, that is not too common in the world of film (especially not in Finland). They managed to bring up harrassing and underestimate what women had and have to go through if tried to make career. It was real and it is still this day, so it was really important to bring it up.
But mostly and importantly it introduced Kikka in really real and touching way.
And Sara Melleri was AMAZING in this film!! 10/10 acting.
