Whoever these two "antique collector" guys are, they ring all the creep factor alarm bells.
Looking at them makes one's skin crawl, but, hey, they want you to trust them to buy into some stories about their junk since they're entirely too self-interested and sociopathic to let actual Historians, conservators, and people who's whole lives are dedicated to the the things they claim look at the things at ANY reputable British museum, confirming provenance and other important bits they conveniently skip over.

This series is mostly based on romantic notions and has almost zero authentic, scholarly research being done. A lot of their "research" is grasping at straws. Their conclusions are based on the most tenuous connections one could make. Further, some of the information they give is just blatantly false, as anyone with even a basic understanding of authentic history can tell. Complete rubbish. I'm guessing the two rich guys created the show in an attempt to portray themselves as serious academics. I'm disappointed that Josh Gates agreed to narrate this with as much drivel as the series contains.
1. Who handles these so-called relics like that?
2. Did you see the guy drag the ancient stone next to the big water hole? No one would ever drag that stone against stone if it was real. Nor put it right next to a hole in the ground!
3. No lady.....they are NOT worshipping a chalice. They're Christians worshipping the body and blood of Christ. That's why the chalice is such a big deal. The blood of Christ is in it. That is Christianity 101 and for her to not know that tells you that she's a scam. Also, there was a carving with a big white circle with a cross in it above a chalice and she had no idea what it was. Duh, it's the host aka the body of Christ.
Strangely ignorant.

So not sure how long it took to film this but the guy with the hat never changes his shirt if he truly is a millionaire you would think he could spring for some new threads.
I don't care about two bored rich guys lives who boast about their self grandiose quest. I am interested in the relics. I also agree that the authenticated relics should be shared with all. Was Josh in need of money? I quit watching after 10 minutes. It is sad to see valuable found historical relics be documented by two uneducated and uninteresting and extremely bland guys with no personality talk about interesting and highly sought for treasures that people have searched for centuries. At least Josh made sure in his shows that he had credible, educated scholars to validate. And one reviewer said they wouldn't have them authenticated. Us that true?
