Rock N' Roll Racing

Rock N' Roll Racing is one of those games I thoroughly see through ruby glasses but is amazing regardless.

One of those racing titles with the awkwardly angled camera Rock N'Roll Racing set a precedent for "Alternative" racing titles. No plain driving here, just weapons, explosions and sheer unadulterated mayhem.

Choosing from a selection of vehicles ranging from 4x4 to futuristic vehicles to a hovercraft you traverse the courses, dropping traps behind you and blasting enemies in front to reach the finishing line first.

With a host of colourful characters the game really has it's identity and then there is the music! It's not called Rock N'Roll Racing for nothing and includes various 90's classic rock hits as you race! Of course they're digitally made versions but they sound the part anyway.

A timeless classic that I don't believe got the attention it deserved (Due to Mario Kart most likely) this is a real gem and I'd love to see a modern day sequel or remaster.

I still hate that camera type

When I was a kid the only smoking I ever did was my car and......BOOM....I'm dead

It doesn't matter what game it is, ice levels suck

Slimer is a great mechanic
