Heads of State

I must say I felt much more entertained throughout this movie than I initially thought. Main cast puts a lot of effort in, soundtrack is great, action is well choreographed (you can follow and see what is happening!), good comedy grooves and some nice ideas on cinematography. Will I watch it again? Probably not. Is it completely played by the numbers? Yes. But even so, even the streamer action flicks can bring about a good one every once in a while. This is one of those.

On a side note: Given that action and thriller movies tend to got bloodier (as in: CGI-blood and limbs flying) each year, it almost felt like a breath of fresh air that this one works without gore. I am usually not against it, but it has been overused in the recent past.

All I saw was Idris Elba next to a floating gun the entire film........

Obviously I'm a big John Cena fan (not so much his current heel run) so I'll watch pretty much anything he's in, plus there's Idris Elba, Jack Quaid and Paddy Considine, so what's not to like.

To be honest, I was sucked in as soon as I heard 'Dr Dre - The next episode' in the trailer.....

I don't usually like action films ( besides the 'Die hard' franchise and 'Aliens' ) , but if you fancy turning your brain off for a couple of hours and watching an old school funny action flick, then give this a watch....

Some pretty bangin' tunes as well, love some Hard Bass!

I have just finished and i am writing here , i enjoyed so much . Lots of fun and action i loved the chemistry between Idris Elba and John Cena. I hope to see them in another movie or second part of this. Well , as a movie of course lots of unlogical things happen but it is so normal for this genre. I loved it and laughed in some scenes. I love the scenes and visual effects. Do not expect too much things and do not forget it is a pop corn movie , watch & enjoy and after that forget it because this is not an art movie , I don't understand negative comments. That's all . Recommend to watch. Thank you.

Its a fun to watch action comedy. John Cena as the President of US is hilarious. Edris Elba suits his part as the PM of UK. Priyanaka Chopra as the secret agent probably overshines them both in acting. It started of as a really fun movie with some action, but by the second half it turned into an outright action movie. Would have been better if they would have kept the comedy as main theme througout. Overall still a decent watch. I didnt know that John Cena could act that fine. Lots of helicopters, guns, blasts and some decent action sequences. Story had promise but kind of fizzles away after first half. Still a decent watch.

I really liked this movie, it goes well for a fun and light evening. Lately most comedies were cheap and i couldn't bear to watch most of them till the end, but not this one, i've got a big grin at the end of it.

All 3 main actors done their job and the choices for the British PM (Idris Elba) and for the President (John Cena) were spot on, also had no idea that Priyanka is that good in action movies. Yeah was no John Wick movie, but i wasn t expecting that either, it delivered for a comedy with some(more) action. A plus would be the special effects, nice job for those.

I would watch a follow up storry for this one :)
