Sacrifice

The Overview sounded very solid so I gave it a chance. No no no! The acting is first year student at best, The script is laughable to the point I almost felt sorry for actors that they had to be a part of it. The lawyers assistant was actually pretty good, the rest need to spend some more time in front of the mirror. Wardrobe was all over. When someone wanted to be low key they over did it so bad they stuck out worse than if they just went normally dressed. Direction, I don't normally watch low end paramount TV i.e. Nickelodeon, BET, MTV. Basically any of the obvious teen brainwashing networks. But the direction had to have been by a Telemundo director or someone who worked to soap opera circut at the end of the 90's. I'm guessing that this show was directly aimed at the sofa bonbon type, the kind that are drawn in by needless overwriting and acting so bad its could be used in skinamax porn. There were a few decent standouts but not enough to sit through this.

I came across this show on BET+ while trying to find a movie or series to watch. I wasn't sure what to expect but when I saw Paula Patton and Lamman Rucker was one of the main characters, I decided to watch. Got caught up after the first episode. Hoping there's a season 2 coming out soon because I have a feeling that the suspense is going to be real once I finish the final episode.

Sacrifice has so many twists and turns that you would miss out if you blink. The plot may seem all over the place at first but there's a motive or agenda behind everything and everyone which makes the show addictive. I've been binge watching it all week.

Watched the entire series and I could not help how it is so much like Empire. Entertaining at best but some of the sub plots just go missing and are left hanging through out the series and certain parts are just rushed.

The show should end at Season 1, it does not have the appeal to survive another season.
