Avis à la une
I've seen this film twice now, on the festival circuit and in its new theatrical release, and both times it was deeply engaging. The ensemble cast is universally strong, and each character evokes profound levels of compassion. The story is a valuable guide for any of us who feel like we've struggled to survive something. The lead actress gives a powerful performance as a character striving for independence as she learns to accept help from her found family. And the antagonist is equal parts frightening and shockingly sympathetic. It's very impressive how the filmmakers infused so much tenderness and warmth into such a fast-paced intense story. This kind of daring, boot-straps indie filmmaking deserves a lot more attention. Don't miss it!
I participated in this movie not even knowing what the entire movie was about. I didn't see the entire script nor did I have a huge part, but I feel I did because I've been just as exposed as even the big stars and made friends I'll never forget. This was one of the best premieres I've been too and prob the best movie I've been in to date! Congratulations to the entire cast especially Alexandra and without a doubt, Director Isaac Woofter! I'm grateful for being a part of this thrilling psychological mischief and was absolutely proud to see the final result. I mean WE SOLD OUT TWO VIEWINGS AND WE COULD HAVE SOLD OUT A THIRD! Why this isn't on a bigger platform yet is beyond my comprehension. I just hope this helps advance my career because I will always look back and be proud at my first cinematic debut! Thank you all!
Most people experience difficulties early on in their life, and it's depicted here. I felt connected to the characters and the story. I empathized with many of the characters, since they all were three dimensional and complex.
When we are going through these hard times, we need connection with other humans to help us get through. This was beautifully depicted in this film.
This film is very emotional and not for the faint of heart because it is intense. But it is very powerful.
I've seen it at a festival and rewatched at theatrical release. Because the film is so layered, you see new things with each viewing.
We learn a lot about humanity in this film. It's a very well made film in all aspects. A must see.

I was very surprised when I came across this film, and even more impressed when I heard it was a first time director.
The editing is quick, but the narrative remains grounded in the complex characters. I could see they were all messy, which I like. I hate when movies have one note characters. I like when the good guys/girls are a little bad and the bad guys/girls are a little good. It's real life!
The acting was top notch and the story and performances had me holding my breath in multiple moments and I never knew what was going to happen next. Looking forward to seeing what this director does next. Surprising.

I got a chance to see this amazing film at The Newport Film Festival and have not been able to stop thinking about and can't wait to see it again. This guy is a triple threat directing, writing & producing this film, Isaac Hirot Woofter, his amazing storytelling & direction brings these compelling characters to life. I saw this movie way before I saw the Academy Award winning "Anora" directed by Sean Baker (just learning his style) and now I think back about "Bound" and I am like wow what a incredible talent Isaac Hirot Woofter is and looking foward to his future projects. I can't for everyone to see this film!!
