Worst possible timing for USA Gay Today Revue

Was this ill-conceived variety show, intended to be the first in a regular series aimed bringing back the old variety show format, the worst hour of network TV ever made?

Or was it, as Norm MacDonald would have reviewed it, "Just not gay enough!"?

There's certainly a time and a place, and a viewing audience, for that kind of programming. However.....the night before Thanksgiving, when whole families are gathered around the hearth and hand-cranked television to recreate Norman Rockwell's America, AIN'T IT.

This show should have run on the Bravo Network, not NBC. I think even the Tony Awards broadcast was less gay.
