Soulmate

Soulmate delivers the sweetness and pain of friendship. Kim Da-mi and Jeon So-nee's chemistry makes me feel a strong bond and deep emotions.

The cinematography is very beautiful and warm giving a lot of impression of the good old days in jeju island.

I love the details used in this film such as paintings, earrings, and several other things that really support their story.

The narration is neat with several twists until finally being slapped with a very bitter reality that makes me feel broken, sad, and miss my best friend.

At the end we know why they really deserve to be called "Soulmate".

What happens when 2 friends start living apart in their own life full of struggles and hardships, with a lot of dreams and ambitions to be fulfilled. Soulmate manages to tell the story of this friendship that changes or develops the characters over the course of their lives. The beautiful chemistry of a great bond is elegantly displayed by Kim Da Mi and Jeon So Nee.

In essence, the film focuses on the story of the characters' personal journeys and transition from adolescence to adulthood. The movie captures beautiful stills of Jeju Island and the nostalgic BGM makes it more pleasant to watch.

Movie is awesome. The story is so real, so deep, that it makes you to wipe out a tear or a few. Great movie about real friendship, deep and meaningful life. It is full of beautiful moments and dissapointments. Its about real emotions, like friendship, love, anger, dedication and lots other. Kim Da Mi was on fire - so good acting. She becomes one of my favorite asian actresses.

Movie is slow paced, step by step leading you till the peak, which is real emotional bomb, exploding your mind within a few astonishing moments. Playfull, emotional, sometimes sad. Some heroe's actions were questionable, but overall - movie is a great choice 👍

• The acting of the actors is incomplete (can't highlight the character's personality like the original book)
• Character building and situations that can be confusing (hard to follow)
• The created world revolves around the main characters is empty
• The film does not intertwine well the past and the present

Overall I recommend for those who want to enjoy an entertainment movie and do not focus on details and acting If you interesting in the story plot, i recommend you should check on the original book or movie (Soulmate 2016 - a Chinese version)

Soulmate is such a beautiful take on friendship and what it truly means to have a soul mate. I cried a lot watching this movie just because it was so beautiful. Kim Da Mi is a brilliant actress and this role solidifies her ability to take on anything but who stood out for me was Jeon so Nee, her quiet charm, the ease of her gentleness on screen captures the role she plays just too well.

A well-directed movie, the merge between past and present never left you confused and even the cliffhanger parts were played out correctly too, Give it a watch if you've seen "Beaches" or you just want to watch something that will stir you up.
