Pervertz!

Former actress Tanya Hyde is the undisputed mistress (I was about to type master) of this genre of porn, and this title is relatively well-known since Evil Angel released it promptly in America. Now out of print, I've had to submit a correction since IMDb has listed it as a U.S. production, when in fact it is one of Hyde's many features shot for London's Harmony Films.

Her secret is to present eroticism as a show, not naturalistic at all but occasionally surrealistic in terms of costuming, lighting and setting. Hyde's vignettes are easily recognizable with a distinct style and momentum; pacing that sets her apart from her usually static peers (see any fetish video for pre-D.W. Griffith cinematic technique worthy of Warhol).

This style plus an exceptional cast puts "Pervertz!" in much demand on the second- hand market, where Hyde rules supreme. Opening segment titled "Filthy Habits" is a prototypical introduction to the Hyde universe, as Amber Leigh and Kiesha Kane are perfect as naughty nuns whose habits are black but latex as just a hint something is off. Getting off is the theme, as they masturbate, have Sapphic sex and engage in humping through the confessional wall (Hyde employs a vintage porn staple, especially from Gay Porn, of a dick sticking through a hole in the wall inviting delectation). Brazzers' poster boy Keiran Lee is the lucky guy. One has only to compare this with Kendo's "Heels and Whores", also starring the sadly underutilized mulatto-look talent Kane, to see Hyde's mastery of her medium.

For mainstream porn addicts I suspect the finale is the easiest entry point to Hyde World, as ubiquitous big-bust favorite Gianna Michaels stars in one of her best showcases ever. She and even bigger-bosomed Rebecca Jessop portray "Factory Girls", in a setting of lathes, sparks and horny male co-workers who are entranced as voyeurs watching the two ladies get down and dirty, lesbian-style. As usual, Hyde restricts almost all the requisite Golden Shower content to the BTS short subject rather than the main feature, a blessing for those not addicted to this fetish (or its surrogate, the omnipresent so-called "squirt").

Yet for some, the video's piece de resistance will be "Keep It Clean", named after a prominently featured vintage sign posted in a public restroom that resembles, but in a porno sort of way, that popular nostalgia "Keep Calm and Carry On" British wartime poster.

The unique Brit star Suzie Best is featured here (inter-cut with Black beauty Jasmine Webb) in her typical underage mode, carrying a weird sex doll in place of a plush animal, and clad in jail-bait hooker outfit of red high heels, short skirt and fishnet stockings. The imagination lifts these admittedly raunchy Harmony videos to the level of an art form, so I realize now why collectors are paying as much as $100-plus for the out-of- print DVDs a decade later.
