Laynie Needs a Light

With the hand-drawn style poster standing out from the others in the short movie section of the Soho Film Festival,I was intrigued to meet Laynie in the light.

Drinking to the beat of a stalker Thriller when the two ladies cross paths, the screenplay by co-writer/(with Charlotte Warren,who was also the cinematographer) director Jill Harrigan superbly gradually shifts the perception of the stalking,to a killer kinky twist ending, which ends the brief encounter on a cheeky,playful atmosphere.

Going for a drink to the excellent grinding score from Derek Gierhan, director Harrigan & cinematographer Warren slice into the tense Thriller mood with razor-sharp close-ups and jump-cuts, which cleverly keep the viewer cut-off from seeing the twist ending on the horizon,as Laynie finds a light.
