Of the autobiographical film, Dr. Ming Wang expressed, "I am overwhelmed that a movie is being made about my life. Living through the many dramatic events I experienced, I never expected them to be told to the world, especially in such a poignant way. "
Among Dr. Wang's former patients include Kenny Chesney, Naomie Judd, Dolly Parton, and Charlie Daniels.
During post production, the producers worked with an orchestra of LA based musicians at Warner Brothers to produce a 16 minute musical suite. This was arranged by seasoned musical composer Sean Johnson and produced over three sessions.
The Sight Musical Suite is based on the music of the film "Sight" and has three movements:
1st movement: "The East" (with mostly Chinese traditional music instruments featuring erhu): An ancient culture, its tradition, introspectiveness and sensitivity, love, tragedy, and fight;
2nd movement: "The West" (with all Western music instruments): Freedom, opportunity, optimistic, powerful, creative, failing and pulling oneself back up!
3rd movement: "The East and the West" (with BOTH Eastern and Western music instruments): It shows that the melodies are in fact the most beautiful, when played by BOTH the East and the West music instruments! If one is willing to learn from others, to seek common ground, based on shared humanity, then lives will all be much better, leading to hope for the future.

Dr. Ming Wang set up an office on set and treated the patient's eyes while the film was shooting. Often, he would be approached by film crew members who would bring to his attention friends and family who had trouble with their eyesight.
Ticket pre-sales far exceeded expectations on its opening day over a month before the film was even released, selling 32,000 tickets instead of its predicted 20,000.
