Better than expected

I expected some silly soap opera. It turned out to be much better than expected. Sex scenes are not overwhelming and quite beautiful, but it is not about sex. It is an attempt to look into the driver of our desires that we can't resist. Someone said it is predictable, I disagree. Only closer to the end I started to see who is the perpetrator. Scenes repeat is a bit annoying and imaginary scenes are also confusing. But overall it is watchable. Very good messages : "There are 2 types of relationships in life: those that inspire us to give our best and those that destroy us. Those that give us peace and those that take it away. Why the hell we choose wrong most of the time. Why do we choose type of love that tears us apart. Society and stereotypes push us toward that chaos. It teaches us that pain is fun. And it isn't. That is not true. Pain is perverse. It is exciting. But it hurts. We have to earn again to love. It is our duty."

My problem is with the cast...

The acting is descent. I just don't think Maine P. Is old enough to be the mom... or the daughter May have been cast too old...

Entertaining but WUT?!?!

As someone else described (in paraphrase) starts off well then gets stupid. Over use of flashback and delusional thinking to depict an unreliable narrator. It has so many characters "flashing back" to moments that didn't happen, it's hard to tell them from the flashbacks/events that did. I don't know if the makers had to meet a minimum episode requirement, but the use of repeated scenes and the utter stupidity of some of the exchanges seem like filler.

There are a few other noticeable flaws in writing. "Are you married?" (asked while the woman is wearing a bridal set with a huge diamond.) And the final pool scene - WTF happened there?!?!?

My bigger peeve with the story is the depiction of - for the vast majority of the story - otherwise intelligent, accomplished women as becoming stupid after a good f*%&$k. On the other hand, the story closes out pondering that plot point, so, much like with the flashbacks, it feels like you - the viewer - were punk'd. I'm not sure if that's good or bad.

Reminds me a bit of those B horror films that are so bad, they're good. The makers knew this and are laughing all the way to the bank. Which is why it gets an 7 instead of 5.

Overall, the mystery is gripping enough to make one want to hang around to see whodunit and why. But the urge to do something else while watching or fast forwarding is overwhelming.

Oh, and that whodunit. Who = resolved. Well, at least one of them. Why = not so much - for all of them. Which sets the stage for season 2.

Loved it!

I didn't expect much from trailer I saw, but it surprised me. I love this show! The sex, passion and plus added some drama and twists. Their chemistry reminded me of my lover and me

Thrilling from beginning to end.

I am shocked by how many bad reviews this show has. I thought it was extremely entertaining. It was so intriguing to me that I actually made it through an entire season of a show just reading subtitles, which I never do. I do agree that they could cut back on the sex scenes, but by the third episode the plot is excellent. I was never bored and was shocked by many things that happened throughout the series. The main actors were very attractive and did a great job in their roles. I hope Netflix gives us another season.

An immensity of plot holes

There are a lot of plot twists that don't have a really good arguement to make you belive them. Makes your head explode

Bottle Green Desires

Every frame has in it many bottle green things like walls, Jeans, jackets, cars, combs, toothpicks, pins in front of which many men and women perform Sex acts. They keep coming and going in front of you, they fight, cry, go in flashback, go in hallucinations and do more sex. They argue, they fall in love, they murder , they repent, they burn factory and they do more sex. In the mean time editor is completely confused as to what has come in front of him, how to edit chronologically but he gives up, probably he also edits while he has sex. We don't know. Yes, we don't know what happened in 18 episodes.

Loved it

I am very surprised about the negative reviews. I absolutely loved this show. Lots of twists, loved the characters. Definitely better for spanish native speakers as I noticed the translation didn't quite fit at times. Overall, highly recommend.

at first seams interesting, then it becomes stupid

Main characters acting it is very amateur, story line needed more work, not very deep. Seems very stupid to me after chapter 10 or so...

Not for everyone but very good series.

I've seen many bad reviews. First, you need to pay attention otherwise you're not going to understand it, it has a lot of plot twists but it's what keeps it interesting. Just when you think you know where the story is going, it takes another direction. The story line is very good I just feel like it should've been explained better, maybe going deeper into the sub-stories instead of focusing so much into re-caps of the past etc. Sex scenes were a bit much but we know sex sells and nowadays a lot of tv shows use it to get public's attention, if you don't like it you can just fast forward the scenes (just saying). It's the first Mexican series that actually is worth watching, that doesn't have a trash story line and the acting wasn't that bad. It's totally worth watching, then again it's not for everybody.

Bit boring

At first, the story seems interesting. Love, sex, affairs, ... But i quickly lost interest and got bored of the repetetive events. The show contains way too much sex and nudity which, may i add, is not necessary. The sex scenes are way too long and can make viewers uncomfortable. The story itself is pretty good, but the writing could be better. Overall i enjoyed the show but my expectations were too high...

Fell short in writing, directing and acting

Yes Maite Perroni is beautiful, yes I like series with plot twists. However this series over uses flashbacks, imagined story arcs and scene repetitions. It's very confusing and I found myself irritated by the characters. The casting is quite bad and the interaction between the main characters seems forced. Not worth your time. It's a Mexican soap with nudity and sex scenes.

Sex, revenge, love, betrayal, murder

It revolves around the above words. Sometimes it gets confusing. It takes us through 18 episodes and plays with our minds over choosing who is the victim and who is the villain. Over the course of all episodes, we are made to believe that three different personalities are the ultimate villains one by one. However, as the end nears, we begin to believe that it is possible that none of the three could be the villains. Finally, when the real villain is revealed, we kind of expected it and also not expected it. It is unbelievable how something people can choose to destroy families because of their egos or for petty gains. I wonder would the audience be still be glued if even half of the sex scenes were not there. It is not the best thriller, therefore, sex scenes have been inserted here and there to keep the audience glued to it. Nice tactic by the way. The main actress is cute and attractive. Rest of the cast is also good. All of them have done justice to their characters.

Telanovela

It was very dramatic and juicy. I find this more like a telanovela. In my opinion it was a nice show. It was captivating.

Only some plots were meaningless. That could be improved in the next season. I look forward to it.

Pretentious and messy

First, this is not a series. This a soap opera presented as a series. It has a weak plot that is predictable and soul-destroying. Actors are miscast all of them, even great actors sink with the inexistent directing work. If this was not enough the four last episodes derive into a total mess. Avoid this as you should do it with crowds in the middle of the Covid19 pandemic.

The best i watched in 2020

Although initially wanted to see it for its steamy scenes but very soon got involved with the story and boy it is definitely worth the watch...there are some dull moments midway .. but the last five episodes are awesome..

Maite perroni steamy scenes are very beautifully shot and she is just super hot ..if you are fan of plot driven erotic scenes this will not dissappoint you. .Erik hayser gets the meaty part for acting and delivers best performance.. all others did their part well ... watch it in your free time u will love it...

Lying Is Defferent Tahn Making Story Twist

You can show what happened differently in dream and hallucination scenes , but if you do this in flash-back scenes, you will be lying. The script writer and the director has to be honest with the audience. Making mind games, trukes that will make the audience curious is welcome but you are hated when you treat the viewer as an idiot. Respect please.

I condemn Netflix for purchasing such an unethical strategy.

Sorry but I enjoyed it!

I've read the reviews, fortunately after I watched the series.

Sorry, I enjoyed the show. Sure it was soapy at times, and the sex scenes may have been unnecessary although there was a lot of quick camera work and very little actual what would be called nudity ( Areola's, nipples) involved, only side boob, side butt etc.. I thought the script and story were pretty good although slow developing, and the casting was great. The actresses were absolutely stunning! It was everything you'd want for late night Netflix viewing!!!

Utterly confusing

If you can figure this one out, you're a genius. Even with triple replays of scenes, we still don't know who did what to whom. An episode shows us how someone died, another shows a completely different version. The moral behind the film, I guess, is that reality is ever what it appears to be. Which doesn't much help us the unsuspecting viewers. The ending suggests a second season may be down the road, but, Dios! I hope not.

Season 2 is even better than season 1!

I just loved how the plot develops on season 2. What I thought was a miss on the previous one, now is right on point. That's as good as mexican crime drama gets. And it sends an important message about love and obsession, and about how easily we can all be manipulated when we let our emotions get the best of us.

Kudos to Maite Perroni, the lead actress, whose portrait of Alma is truly impressive.

I just have to say this.... don't know who choose Maite Perroni for this role but him/her made such a mistake... They needed actress with less innocent face, and more energy I would say. Maite probably wanted something different of everything she done before, but don't get me wrong she should just stay in the "Lupita zone". I liked the story tho.

Untruthful script

Maite Perronin looks amazing, even better than her former performance at the "Game of the Keys", the truth is that the whole production isn't credible? With a lot of cliches and several issues of synchronicity to make the story believable. Just watch the role of main character's daughter, how she realized what she finally realized, absolutely unbelievable. Several scenes of explicit sex intercourses, well managed indeed, but not enough to categorize the whole productions as something remarkable, leaving the whole script into something like a soft porn, somehow artistic, but nothing more to highlight.

Much better than the previews gives credit

Let me start by saying, I'm not big on subtitles (I get distracted very easily) but I was hooked on episode one. By episode two, I didn't even notice. I really enjoyed this series.

I'm not sure how it will feel with English subtitle. But if you understand Spanish this series is full of suspense and entertainment.
