Ridiculous

Derek plants claymores in the woods around the school where the students go running? Really? Yeah, great idea. Also, how the frak is he walking around with that .50 caliber Sniper rifle? That is a highly specialized, extremely dangerous weapon (officially banned from use against humans because it does so much damage) and one that you absolutely do not carry around patrolling a military school crosscountry course - and they just hand it to the new guy (who gets the job without formal experience) and have him walking around with it? Also, lucky no students went running.

Oh, and the whole kidnapping a little boy thing works well with the "keep a low profile" strategy. Plus, the little guy was pretty cool about a cyborg trying to kill him and being abducted.

I appreciate the show for its tone, but this was just too much.

Fantastic episode

This is another banger entry into an already phenomenal series. The writers continue with the Wizard of Oz references and themes we first saw in Alison From Palmdale. They did a great job paying homage to the original movie while making the episode their own. It wasn't just a copycat of the first movie. Lena Headey is very believable as a mom, but a perfect mom. She's a work in progress and she knows it. The voice over reading the book during the final battle was a great choice. And finally the reveal at the end of who Martin Bedell is and what he will do was masterfully done. Thomas Dekker and Brian Austin Greene put on a master class in acting during the final scene.

Ridiculous

I'm a fan of T2.

It's my favorite movie of all time.

So obviously i heard about The Sarah Connor Chronicles before it was aired but i never had curiosity to see it because i thought i would not be any good.

I was right.

This was the first episode i saw from this show and i think it couldn't get much worse than this. Terrible acting, RIDICULOUS story (and i mean ridiculous) and a general low quality that should offend most Terminator fans.

One to avoid.

Anecdotes
When the new 888 knocks at the door of 8 year old Mark Bledell's house and ventilates the door, he is armed with the .45 AMT Hardballer Longslide with the laser sight from Terminator (1984). The laser is not shown functioning as it required a separate power source which was run inside Arnold Schwarzenegger's M-65 field jacket.

Gaffes
The Terminator sent to kill Martin Bedell used the phone book to track down the three Martin Bedells. But the second one is a young child. His name would not be in the phone book, but his parents' names would be. So, unless the boy Martin Bedell and his father had the same name, the Terminator would not be able to find this Martin Bedell's address by using the phone book.
