Avis à la une
"La Corazonada" is Argentina's first Netflix original movie, and it puts together a crime drama with thriller elements that produce mixed results. Luisana Lopilato turns in a sturdy performance as Manuela Pelari, a rookie detective on her first major case. It produces an atmospheric feel to the film, much like its great cinematography and supporting cast. The story often falls into predictability, though, with very familiar tropes and a convoluted plot that at times feels formulaic rather than fresh. It's director Alejandro Montiel who builds some tense and captivating moments, but it is occasionally hard to work out the pacing and development of the characters. With an interesting look into an investigation related to a crime, "La Corazonada" presents nothing new in its genre and thus is something watchable but uneven.

MYSTERY THRILLER
Adapted from the novel "La Virgen En Tus Ojos" / "The Virgin In Your Eyes" by Florencia Etcheves co-written and directed by Alejandro Montiel the second of three movies that has a young man riding his bike, purposely ran over by a driver. The next scene has Manuela Pelari or Pepi for short as she is played by Luisana Lopilato part of a rescuing operation task force. Pepi is working under the direction of her chief inspector, Francisco Juanez (Joaquín Furriel) along with five or more other people. One child managed to get saved while their is no hope for the other. At one point Juanez confronted the culprit himself but instead of turning himself in he chose to shoot himself with his own gun. And it is not long after the following day, this same department gets involved in another murder of a young lady, Gloriana Márquez (Delfina Chaves) murdered in her own bed. At the same time this was happening lead prosecutor, Fiscal Roger (Rafael Ferro) appoints Pipa to be in charge of the hit and run dead cyclist, Patricio Galván (Ignacio Hernández) killed at the opening we find out has a history with it's chief inspector, Francisco Juanez to which he had something to do with his wife's death, but was let out or found not guilty. And that Juanez would have more reasons to run him over, except that the person who ran him down was driving a red vehicle who does not own one. Roger wants Pipa to dig up evidence her superior chief inspector Juanez did indeed committed the act of hit and run, and also appoints Rodolfo if she ever needs anything.

Intuition: A prequel to Perfidia; Pipa (Luisana Lopilato) becomes a detective after a member of Inspector Juanez's (Joaquin Furriel) team gets a foot caught in a beartrap. Pipa was providing backup as Juanez corned a serial killer. Due to her perceptive comments and analysis the Inspector co-opts her on to his squad. They are swiftly investigating the murder of a young socialite but Juarez is under suspicion of murdering a man who had accidentally killed juanez's wife. A dark and gory addition to the Argentinian Noir genre though it perhaps gets over complicated at times with the number of suspects and red herrings in the socialite's murder. Thing get more convoluted as Pipa is secretly assigned to investigate her boss. Still, Writer/Director Alejandro Montiel delivers an engaging and watchable thriller. 7/10. On Netflix.
If I want to bake bread and want to see a movie too I would use this one.
Plot may be fine. But dialogue, characters and actors performances are made of bad quality cheese. In a world with sooo many good movies I cannot understand why someone in the showbiz would think "ok this looks good". A tree has more expression than Furriel. Some secondary characters had good moments (some scenes with Maite Lanata). Lopilato has not improved at all her "my mate is clogged" face. Still is better than the previous one in the saga: "Perdida".
Morally speaking, what can a good detective get away with? And should we just believe him, just because he is a good cop? Why shouldn't we believe him though? Morality is a funny thing ... to a certain degree. The movie has not just a case that has to be resolved (although if you count one from the beginning there is already two of them), but a mystery surrounding the main character.
Well told and nicely edited this works in my humble opinion. Having said that, for some it may feel a bit predictable and they may see a couple of things before they are revealed. Still the tension and the suspense is there and holds the whole thing together - the actors do their best too. If you are into crime/detective movies, you will likely dig this
