Firstly i have to praise that the series manages to create stunning images in some cases. The Idea behind all of this is a good one and i understand why it was made after all. But i don't understand how the screenwriters could fail at giving these young characters conversations that sound at least kind of matching their age. There were many Dammit-Moments, as Sorkin might call them, were things are said that no real person would say in real life. This blends into unmatching actor performances, where it is hard to tell whether it is the dialogs, the director, or the actors to blame for this. It just feels completely unreal. But still this series has some good things to it, and the plot makes it worth a watch for intrigued viewers.

I feel like this was just a melting pot of many previous teen series like Elite, Skam, Gossip girls and so on... Also, I don't understand why every series is about rich kids' lives when most of the teens aren't rich.

Kitz has average dialogues and some bad acting. Yes.

But the story is actually clever and reminded me a lot of Elité's better seasons.

Maybe (especially German) people need to relax and not hate it just because it's German but appreciate good story telling sometimes.

I can recommend this show if you liked 13 reasons why and Elité :)

Seasons greetings, this show is what it says in the tin, nothing more nothing less. Insufferable rich kids (or are they?) and a revenge plot. Lots of glitz and snow and self-medication. Perfect escapism for the season with some hot chocolate or mulled wine, the show even had a New Year fireworks. Can't get out of the house? Netflix has you covered.

If the cast is as hot as Pretty Little Liars or Gossip Girl, it would be a hit for Netflix but kudos for casting the actors who look the part like they're Kitzbühel locals.

Great to have a series that's set in the stunning mountains for a change. Though the story was a bit slow and they should've really gotten at least some Austrian actors in (after all it's set in Austria), it was enjoyable to watch. It's not quite 'Elite' but refreshing take on making the alps cool.

Cute boys & girls, a picturesque setting and some dark secrets. Once I got used to the somewhat shaky acting, I quite enjoyed this little story. Definitely good enough for a lazy Thursday night.

Slow start, not the best acting but it can draw u in. The setting feels great. Its a bit gossp girl meets revenge meets elite.

Maybe they can improve the flaws if this gets renewed.

This is the worst patchwork between all known teen movies and some classic soap operas. There is no point or message whatsoever, no continuity or development. The characters make no sense and the acting is poor but I am not sure if this is not the only realistic thing in it all - people are indeed selfish and entitled, especially in our teens. There was the "plot twist" at the end - something I have figured out or at least suspected since probably episode two. Again, respect to whoever secured the financing for this.

You got give it a try and don't stop on 1st episode to come here and give a bad rate.

This story looks like a normal revenge plot but it does take a twist.

Not so bad.

Haven't seen anything like the glitz in the first episode for nearly a decade. Having said that the first half was good while the second half lost its focus and I find the ending to be unsatisfying.

If you like teen shows you'll like this. The casting is on-point with the acne, the stretch marks etc although the cast is not perfect model-looking people like US teen shows preventing it from breaking out (and critics reviews are meh).

Incredibly boring. I dont care for any of the characters (except maybe Hans) and literally everything in this Show has been done multiple times before but better. The only thing thats refreshing is the beautiful setting. But as an Austrian the entire thing is painful to watch, the acting is below average and the lack of dialect and portrayal of an austrian farmer Family is absolutely ridiculous. Overall I think this was released too soon, the story doesn't work AT ALL although I like the idea of the rich kids of Kitz but they really should have given it more thought.

Dumb german Drama with terrible Actors. Noone will give u the Dark-Hype again.

How frustrated can you be Netflix?

Awful is the Wore for this nonsense.

If you are in the market for a short German show featuring young actors and exotic scenery, this one may be a good match. The story behind the whole series is actually kind of balanced with just enough details to make characters plausible and to explain some of their actions during the development of the events. Ending suggests possible season 2, but that could be a mistake: this show is one of the rare ones that is correctly paced and feels just right with 6 episodes and 40 minutes per episode.

If you're learning German, this one is neutral with Hochdeutsch and without local accents, be advised.

I was not expecting a high end drama but rather an easy soap with some nice views of the Alps... The views are really difficult to do wrong especially around Kitzbuhel.... Unfortunately neither nor. I cannot imagine if I have ever come across such a naive and badly written scenario. The story does not make sense at all... It is not fitting even for a teenager series with low expectations. Not to say - no Alpes, no views and really bad cast.

Firstly this is so far from reality it should be science fiction. I have been in Kitzbuhel and you would never find anything close to that soap.

The music is horrible also, it is like applying True Blood's ambiance to a bad soap.

How can people compare this to Little White Lies?

It is annoyingly lame. It still works though. I want to know what's the end, even though it is painful to watch sometimes. The acting, the story, all is so unrealistic and not on the good way.

Could it be that Hollywood productions may have influenced us all too much on certain images and that we're not open enough for differences?

"Kitz" has a really good script: the story is developing really well and the end is quite surprising.

It would be unfair to give the entire series a bad rating, just because it's not from overseas (I watched it from Germany in original language). For a small country like Austria this is a really good production and I like the Netflix approach to support local film industries all over the world (and not only the US) for a more diverse media pool.

Not a lot works to be able to recommend this series. The acting is pretty bad, and coupled with a weak and confusing script, it makes the series worse. The makeup artist opted to use industrial strength foundation so the actors look as if they all have thick layers of greasepaint applied. It is very distracting. In keeping with the "New Europe" there are examples of diversity in everything. Unfortunately, there is little chemistry between any of the actors so the on screen relationships, both gay and straight, come across as very false. The plot has the usual twists and turns, but is also very predictable. Overall, it's something to watch when a queue is empty. Just don't expect too much.

Like a cheap bottle of sparking wine, the cover might attract a certain group of people, but the inside is nothing but tasteless - not because its bad acting, bad dialogues, bad picture, bad storyline - but because of the sheer idea of adding these parts together would be something worth watching.

This show is outrageously bad. It seems like a couple of Influencers just wrote down all the things they liked in other shows and movies and just mashed them together one after the other.

My grandmas language is cooler than how these characters talk, just the whole appeal of the setup and of these characters feels so forced to be cool and edgy.

I was amazed that noone used words like wyld or lit, but any other "edgy lingo" (trying to keep in tone with the cool kids) was used, or better abused by people who either are Aliens that learned our language (mind you its german for me) through tik tok or by some 14 year old rich kids, that are bullied in school until one day they are featured in an episode of "how much is your outfit" on a famous youtube channel and now they are cool and have to keep this image.

The plot has more holes than a golf club. All characters are incredibly superficial, unlikeable, and sooo freaking stupid and unreasonable. They all just serve the storyline, while you can feel how hard the producer where struggling to keep a sense to their show.

Everyone and their mother is so one sided and gives the impression, that their memory has more holes than the plot.

The ending feels so setup, the "twist" is so foced and didnt surprise or satisfy me at all.

The general writing and directing is very freaking lazy, if you have seen any two shows or movies, you have seen everything done better than in this piece of garbage.

The worst part is that this show takes itself so seriously that you cant even have any fun with it.

Its not like one can crawl out of the pit of pain this show creates by loughing it all away, because your finger nails roll up because of cringe, hell even my brain started shouting at me to stop watching this doodoo (after 20 minutes of Kitz my brain had shut down too far to move my body) and now I might have to go and see a therapist for mental conditions far beyond will to life and schizophrenia (they call it Kitzophrenia).

I finally made an account on imdb only to rate this show, to relief my anger and my pain.

Please dont watch this, please!!!!

Spend your time with better things. Maybe find out how high you can throw bricks and still catch them or see how long you can hold your breath until you fade out.

This is like the German take on Elite, only Elite does it far, far better. I knew exactly where this was headed as soon as all of the characters had been introduced. If you have even the tiniest ability to reason inferentially, there is zero suspense. Still, it's a decent mindless watch if you want something on in the background that you don't need to focus on.

My partner and i binge watched this after release because we had to know how it ends. And it ended in a way that was not expected. We also liked the scenery, the characters were interesting and we are hoping for a season 2. I give it 9 out of 10 for all this.
