It's a good anime that has a large amount of fan service which makes it a r rated anime. It has a good plot and I would still want some more seasons of it.
It's like "Urusei yatsura", but Ecchi and with a female lead less jaelous and more oppai, so it's better!
By the way, "TO LOVE RU" is also the name of the alien spaceships OS, and stand for: (T)echnlogy of (O)ver (L)evel (O)peration for (V)ery heavy command to (E)lectronic unit control Unit (RU)...RU!? RU RU (RUN)

As a fan of the ecchi genre, I felt embarrassed for never having seen this classic. For one reason or another, I kept putting it off.
At the time of writing this, I have only watched the first season in its entirety.
I have seen very low ratings for To Love Ru, and I think this happens because the purpose of this anime is not understood.
To Love Ru does NOT try to tell an epic, deep, or intriguing story. On the contrary, it is just a comedy with simple episodes meant to make you laugh. The question is, does it do it well?
The answer is a resounding YES. Firstly, To Love Ru presents a solid cast of characters with well-defined and consistent personalities. Secondly, all the comedy (except maybe two episodes) is very original and funny. I don't want to cite other ecchi comedies to avoid putting them in a bad light. But here in To Love Ru, everything works well. It fits just as expected.
Additionally, it should be noted that, between episodes, a story is gradually told that serves as a background for all the characters and for about four epic final episodes.
Don't get me wrong. To Love Ru is far from being a true exponent of the ecchi genre. There are works millions of times better than this. However, its comedy with fan service works.
THE GOOD: Great variety of characters, all very well developed.
THE BAD: Well, I don't know if it's bad because it's not the author's goal, but I point out that it is a very basic and simple story.
I AM LOOKING FORWARD to the next seasons.

I loved this series. Even tho is is an ecchi it's a comedy first and foremost putting comedy laughs before fan service. Most laughs and smiles I've gotten from an anime. It is NOT for anyone wants any kind of serious story or character development tho it does have a fun beginning story thru the end and the characters do progress some but its more about crazy laughs and fun then all that. It's about a super shy boy and a fun loving alien princess and his school crush. The fate of the world may hang on his choices! Other boys and girls and aliens try and get in the mix and it's downright fun. One of the best opening songs in anime as I'm humming the tune often. Highly recommend. 26 episodes long.
I liked the show very much but the last 2 episodes (episodes 25 and 26) I didn't really like it. I wished they had changed the scripts for those last 2 episodes plus there are 2 other unneccessary episodes that I think had nothing to do with the main script and plot structure. Overal the other episodes are amazing, I loved it.
