Avis à la une
So the first part of the movie gave me a bad taste that continued throughout.
Terrible tactics from the beginning result in unnecessary casualties that pretty much lay the ground work for Amateur hour.
If there's any shred of truth to this, you'll know why the UN is referred to as Useless Neighbors.
Nonsensical plot simply made in the essence of the current political backdrop to point to more Russian Collusion.
We all know how that worked out in the US.
I can't recommend such garbage knowing there's an underlying agenda here. Gone are the days of movies simply being entertaining without the constant attempts at brainwashing our naive youth. Sad but true, hard pass on this one.

This was watchable . . . I guess. There was a lot of filler material with long boring shots that went nowhere. Disparate parts of the plot never crystalized and action scenes tended to be either flat or overblown. I could not tell if part of the movie was filmed in English, or if the English was dubbed in later. I watch everything with subtitles turned on anyway. It's too late for the politics of the plot to be relevant, so I wasn't watching to see that play out. Even so, I expected for a conspiracy to revealed up into the highest realms of the government . . . But in the end, it just all fizzled out.
This was horribly directed and written, with a sloppy, bloated, incohesive and convoluted screenplay. Literally the entire two hour runtime could've been cut down to a 20 min short film and you would miss absolutely nothing. After about 20 mins, we were all struggling to stay awake and/or started playing with our phones. This film is 90% filler and 10% substance. There's a lot of nothing happening, and it's just repetitive and boring. I'm pretty sure the same scene of a helicopter flying into the city was copy and pasted multiple times. Was this bloated sloth even edited? The pacing was ridiculously slow and dragged out, just like pretty much every scene. It' a shame, because the cinematography was amazing, and the performances convincing for the most part. I just wish there was a real story here with some reason to care about the characters or the plot.
It's funny when people read a good book they immediately think this would make a great movie. This is not a good movie
Lead actor plays the part of no nonsense Finnish tough guy. Which fits Pääkkönen rather well.
Seems that direction and production were too busy dreaming their vacation during the filming so results is a poor Hollywood ripoff.
It is clear that this is made for Finnish audience only with cameos from news readers and other people who very few foreigners know.
This means more for the fans of Ilkka Remes and Finns who might have wished for this to be their own super cop series as Remes has made at least 15 book that continue this story in a alternative Finland with various characters.

The plot is a film about security topics from EU and Finnish centric perspective, which is unique and provides quite a bit to be explored. The current geopolitical environment also makes the basic storyline somewhat believable. However, as the film progresses, the plot holes keep on expanding to the point that the film became quite nonsensical at the end. It is fine if it has the budget of blockbuster Hollywood action flick to cover that up, but it doesn't. Even though they did an outstanding job with the budget, it is still not quite there in absolute terms and it shows. The acting is bland, but perhaps it is a cultural element there. What is clear, though, is that the actors clearly didn't spend enough time/effort training. Their combat techniques (weapon manipulation/tactical movements etc.) look like amateurs when they are supposed to be highly trained agents. It is definitely not the worst action film I've seen, but unfortunately I cannot say I recommend this movie.

- AnecdotesWas originally planned as a two-movie project, "Omerta 6/12" and "Omerta 7/12", followed by a six-part television series. The plan for the second movie was abandoned when Antti J. Jokinen left the production.
- GaffesTanner discards his helmet and hearing protection before going to the tunnel leading out of the presidential palace and possible firefight. This does not make sense.
