Worst movie ever. If you want to spend your free time lousy watch it. This movie disgrace to the turkish cinema.

Please don't do movie like this because SO BAD! Also producer is supporter of terrorist groups.

As I put in the title, this movie is a a clear and total insult to Turkish and Kurdish people, including Ahmet Kaya.

These producers of this movie are vultures who are milking these issues for a prospect of profit..

Actually I love Ahmet Kaya.And when I went to the film , I was hopefull about the film.But when I watched the film really I felt so bad.Cause Ahmet Kaya really important singer and his life worth more quality film than this film.There is no quality actors , no quality cinematographers etc. Please dont waste your time and money for this film.Also look at the latest reviews about film , I think they are not trust cause they are so similar .

Ahmet Kaya was the best singer in Turkey, and a movie was necessery even it is so late but I liked the movie! You should definetly watch it!

Good movie thank you for Gani Savata and Hakan Gurtop, but they could choose better cast instead of Ekin Akkas and Ozgur Tuzer.. They are away of champions league

Wow. What a truly inspiring film. Made me feel that being eccentric and different is ok as long as you are you! The film brought so many emotions - laughter, sadness, joy - very heart warming. At times I forgot I wasn't actually watching the Ahmet Kaya - Ozgur Tuzer looked so like him. I thought Ozgur rocked the role. Massive respect to this guy! Would happily pay to go back in and watch it again! My film of 2020, the year of pandemi!!!!

Gani Savata's " iki Gozum Ahmet," which came out almost two decade ago, is he perfect illustration of how unique Turkish cinema can be when it combines elements of Western bio genre films and Anatolian folk dramas. The film has some major flaws, but these are mostly in terms of production. The script and its' direction are fairly crisp, and the acting is quite exceptional. The film features a haunting score, deep symbolism (particularly in the final scenes) and timely social themes. I think the later is one of the reasons why it has not been popular with those who are more unfamiliar with Turkey, but it is this very element which makes the film more than just a routine bio film. The film is also considerably more social than most Turkish films, though many (particularly '70s films of the late Yilmaz Guney) made for brutal cinematic experiences.

Just watched Ahmet Kaya film with my wife, my 16-yo daughter and 14-yo son. It's quite simply one of the best movies we've ever seen. liked so much performance of Serdar Orcin and Gani Ruzgar Savata. The other actors are great too but these two played so professional. The music is naturally magnificent. We're talking of Kurds after all... We rated Ahmet 10/10.

I swear if film doesn't get an Oscar for this story, I will be done with movies forever. This movie was so brilliant, nothing dragged, there were no boring parts, no looking at my watch wondering when it'll be over. This is a must see. Even if you're not a Ahmet Kaya fan.

Gani Savata's "iki Gozum Ahmet " is abashed and shameless, exciting and exhausting, disgusting and illuminating; it's one of the most entertaining films ever made about revolutionary men. Its stars Ozgur Tuzer and Aleyna Solaker have played well and film tells story of Ahmet Kaya the award of best singer, and he's not far off the mark. Thank you all

I never watched movie 2 times in cinema - this is the only one i did. I watched on Maximum cinema, had my tears, and decided to try the VIP experience, and it is worthed it.

The movie was excellent, all the casts were! You always thought "Bahtiyar" was a cheesy song made for the competition or other. After watching this movie, boy my view will never be the same of this song. This song deserve a country to use it as national anthemn.

I reiterate - Forget the critics and Gulten Kaya. Go to cinemas after pandemic and enjoy this movie

This is a great movie and it depicts reality quite accurately. Iki Gozum Ahmet at least an 8 but seeing how it's an all cast, I guess it was rated accordingly. I do not believe a sequel would be in order for this movie. The sequel would be easily predetermined and not very mind bottling so the producers should leave it as is. I compare this movie to Muslum starring Timucin Esen which was a mediocre movie. Ahmet movie demonstrates how the effects of love can cause one to do crazy and outlandish things to mend a broken heart. The cast were extraordinary and very realistic despite the fact that the movie is seriously underrated and not many people know about it. I suggest viewers give this movie a chance with a clear head and without a predisposition view about any of the characters

This is biography of the best folk music singer Ahmet Kaya . A very dramatic life story. Of course there is some negative things for movie. But this is unimportant. Because there are very few examples in Turkish Cinema.( for biography) Anyway, definitely watch the movie and feel the Kaya's pain.

I don't think I've ever been so excited to see a movie, EVER! As I'm sure many of you my age will say, I was brought up listening to Ahmet Kaya by my dad who was a huge fan. One of the only times I ever remember my dad crying was when he died. That love for Kaya has been passed on to my little boy, so off we went (a little disheartened, I might add, following the critic reviews) to watch the movie. Ten minutes in, my little boy turned to me and said , 'mum, I love this already' The film has you right from the get go! I honestly don't know what movie those critics saw, but it can't have been the same movie. At times I forgot I wasn't watching the real Ahmet Kaya. I laughed. I cried. I got goosebumps. I cried some more. I absolutely loved every minute of it. The cinema was packed out and as the credits drew, the audience clapped and cheered; something I have never experienced at a movie before. Do not be put off. Just go! If you have kids, take them too!

This movie is so special. There wont be another Ahmet Kaya, he is the only one in history, espacially in this type of music. Film is really successful about make you feel emotions of the story. No lie, I watched it at Paris and cried few times. What a dolorous life. Cast did so much better than I thought. Aleyna Solaker and Özgür Tüzer made a brilliant job. We can see inside of character clearly. Also musics are great, of course. But there are some problems about directing, storytelling and cinematography but these things can be tolerated after all. Rest in peace Kaya. Your fans love you.

For those who do not know Ahmet Kaya or the type of music he performed during his early career , he always sang very sad and sorrowful songs , and he sang them so sincerely and effectively, his fans used to attend his concerts, but he never mentioned about his personal life in front of cameras, but after I watched this film and learned about his story, I can only say, ''wow'' how could he endure such big pain and agony? I dont want to go give away any spoilers, I just can't believe a man can live with such pain you need to watch and see it for yourselves and acting was very good great cast congrats to everyone contributing to this film

Watched the movie on Cyprus this weekend and I liked it, conradulations

As a person knows Turkey well I am really aware the script of the film really requires brave directors Gani Savata and Hakan Gurtop and their crew to step in for this project.. We all know the end of iconic singer Ahmet Kaya and really thank you everyone participated to create a movie for him! I hope this movie will be a starting point and to be continued

Best second film of Gani Savata after 'Sinir' released 1999,, we really miss quality of that movie and iki gozum is good again

Excellent movie to watch but they are really not lucky as the movie best performing at theaters during the pandemic covid-19 they could release it only for a week! What a chance really! so sorry for the crew hope they cope it and success to breaking record again! I liked it really You should definetly watch strongly advice

It break the record if pandemic in Turkey congradulations! And I reckon that the platforms such as Netflix should release it for broader audience! Must watch it

The filmmakers in Turkey are always claiming about reaching the thing, the unbelievable, the extreme thing that this movie I think can make it . With no grand advertising, or big budget, that's just a miracle at pandemic that movie has made. And to a miracle, points or comments do nothing but you wanted and I give: eternity out of 10 and just love, like the movie gives to you.
