The drama story is outclass and dialogue is very breath taking. Not a usual drama which is predictable and routine wise. Need this kind of dramas.

Umera Ahmed's writing always leaves me in a trance, it's never a light reading, it's thought-provoking and heart-wrenching. It feels real. Alif is beautifully written, it's page-turning, can't-put-the-book-down kinda book with multiple plot twist. This book had me in awe with all its surprises. The characters are powerful and the story is strong. One thing I felt was that some things were rushed but aren't they always in cases like these. Umera Ahmed makes us realize that this is Allah's world and things go according to His pace. Let's hope the drama does justice to the book.
Edit: After last episode Words can't do justice in reviewing this drama. A pure masterpiece with a perfect ending. Truly mesmerizing, phenomenal performance, heart -touching dialogues. It is actually something beyond than just a serial. It left me speechless. One of the finest drama of Pakistani drama industry. Without any doubt, much better than Ehd-e-Wada & MPTH. The acting of Manzar Sehbai was marvellous. No words to explain the acting of Hamza Ali Abbassi & Sajal Ali. <3 This beautiful journey came to an end with a perfect and flawless ending.
Ishq-e-Awal Ko Duja Na Kar Zaat Apni Ko Tu Pooja Na Kar
Mohabbatein Bandon Ko Day Ishq Pay Haq Bas Alif Ka Bandeya
Alif bs harf nahi, Yeh zarf yeh kamaal ka Ibtida jahaan ki, Jawaab har sawaal ka

This drama has the best and the most unique plot as compared to all the other drama series. How the main characters find their path towards spirituality is very well explained.

Never in your life you would have seen such attention to detail in Pakistani Dramas. From cinematography, editing to wardrobe, everything is unlike Pakistani plays these days and it is made with a masterful vision of both the writer and the director.
The story line and screenplay are beyond words. Don't know from where does Umera write such life changing stories. One thing special about Alif is that it is rich in writing in every other way. A kind of genre that still hasn't been explored. Every episode leaves you hooked. The way story unfolds and how the characters are linked to each other and to one single alphabet is beyond expressions. The characters are human in every way and it is easier for us to connect with them because they are all relatable. The writer should take a bow.
The direction in brilliant and it is this unique style of Haseeb Hasaan that makes him stand tall and distinct among others. He did justice to every single word written by Umera.
The actors are just another level. From Sajal to Ahsan Khan everyone is brilliant. A special mention goes to the remarkable portrayal of Husn-e-Jahaan by Kubra Khan. Surely an actor to look forward to.
Alif is a master class in terms of Story telling and acting and the production value takes it a notch higher letting it shine brighter than any other serial. Watch it if you want a experience of a lifetime........
Best adaptation of any novel on Pakistani TV. Every cast member is like tailor made for the role. Direction and cinematography is top notch. Well done team Alif!

Before Watching Alif i thought Mere Pas Tum Ho is the best Drama in every aspect. Powerful drama, amazing cast, and dialogues that make you quiver - your eyes and heart, and soul will cry. It will no doubt make you question your own relationship with God.
First of all, alif does not deserver 1 star rating. I have given it just to bring the total raring down a little.
Now will talk about the problems with Alif. It has few terrible problems which people have ignored not sure why. First of all, it has nothing to do with spirituality which was supposed to be the core of the story( to be honest i haven't read the book), rather its the story of husn e jahan, that is the mother of qalb e momim. Other problem is the flashbacks, its so many. One or two flashbacks are understandable but too many flashbacks revealed by different people just create confusion.
Lastly, its damm slow. It could have been finished in 15-17 episodes but took 24 episodes. So it was a heavy watch. Disappointed

It is a story of Relation with your Almighty Creator...beautifully crafted on the small screen...with mind-blowing acting's from all the characters...especially Hamza Ali Abbasi and Manzar Sehbai...The story unfolds step by step with the characterisation beautifully related to each other...
You can predict the story well in advance but still wait for the right moment to unfold...and once it happens, it leaves the mark in the heart...

This is the only TV series that deserves a 10/10. Alif is an influential masterpiece that peirces through your body and touches your soul. Hats off to Momin for his brilliant acting. He wasn't acting, he was living his role. You can see the purity in his character and I thank him and the director for encovering this genre to the world. I hope that he continues to pass this positive message through media. This is the first TV series that I have seen that deserved a review.

I just finished this fully amazing series just in two days. And that is why I'm kinda regretting right now, 'cause my childish heart's saying to me, "Why did you finish 'Alif' in such a short span of time? Why didn't you make it a little longer?" 😄
But all I can do is to give condolences to my heart and say that I'll watch it again, multiple times! 💖
'Alif' is based on such an adorable story which is definitely gonna touch every single soul. Spirituality has been perfectly defined by this masterpiece. ❤
And most importantly, the casting was more than amazing. Everyone has given wonderful performances which is definitely gonna win the audiences' hearts.
Qalb E Momin, Momina Sultan, Husn E Jahan, Abdul Ala, Taha Abdul Ala- every one of this characters were played beautifully by the respective actors/actresses.
Hamza Ali Abbasi, my most favourite actor- I'm always your biggest fan! Pyarey Afzal, Mann Mayal, Alif- all these masterpieces can never be described or judged through words! Pakistan should feel grateful since the nation got such a talented star! And certainly I'll be eagerly waiting for your next masterpiece! 🙂💛
Also Sajal Aly, Manzar Sehbai, Ahsan Khan and the very beautiful Kubra Khan- all of your performances were just out of the universe. Kubra Khan is truly a diva, her charming beauty never fails to amaze her fans.
And the story, cinematography, location, title track, editing, direction- everything was perfectly done.
If series like this are continued to be made, Pakistani TV industry is definitely gonna have a wonderful future.
I wanna thank all of the persons related to this series for giving us such a fabulous series like 'ALIF'.
Special love to Hamza Ali Abbasi, Sajal Aly and Kubra Khan. ❤
(Wish it grabs all the awards of 2020 since it's the most deserving one 💖)

There are very few pieces of art that directly touch your heart, and this show is one of them. It makes you think and reflect on life and its reality. The story revolves around love, connecting love of God with love of His creation, and purity of deeds. The plot is deep and keeps you engaged from the first to the last episode. Characters are solid and well-portrayed and acting is excellent. Thank you team Alif for this masterpiece - or Shahkaar, in Alam Aala's words.

A very powerful idea but very poor execution.. poor script ruined the good cast. Umera ahmad's posture in my mind as greatest drama writer in pakistan has destroyed.. maybe she is not good at running multiple stories at a time. Zindage gulzar hai or Shaher e zaat has a one single story throughout. Or maybee its directors fault that he couldn't manage to understand or explain the timeline.. Casting director should be praised, Hamza ali abassi and momina and all the others are perfectly fit in their role. If you have watched zindage gulzar ha then dont go for alif, just watch zgh again. Dont recommend anyone total time waste.

Haseeb hassan is one of the best directors we have in Pakistani film industry. Story by umeira ahmed is unforgettable. It's 10 out of 10 in every department. Who can forget the great sultan

Complete in itself. Covers all aspects of human life. From material to spiritual. Plot is enthralling. Script & screenplay are riveting. Performances are superlative. Not even it tries to be preachy or didactic. Story unfolds so seamlessly.
