Superhero movies have become infatuated with the multiverse. A lot of that must go back to Marv Wolfman and George Pérez's 1986 "Crisis on Infinite Earths," where all the heroes from DC Comics' vast multiverse band together against an omnicidal threat. But can the multiverse be used for greater storytelling than as a vehicle to throw blockbuster IP together? The new comic book "Assorted Crisis Events" says "Yes."
Since the first issue of "Assorted Crisis Events" (which I covered here), the series has been sold as "'Crisis On Infinite Earths' if it was happening to normal people." Written by Deniz Camp, penciled by Eric Zawadzki, and colored by Jordie Bellaire, "Assorted Crisis Events" is an anthology. The main character is the crisis itself. Reality is falling apart due to different time periods coming together and leaving people caught in its wake.

Kody Brown has shown some signs of humanity over the past few Sister Wives episodes.
Tragically, these qualities showed himself as the TLC personality mourned the loss of his son Garrison, who took his own life last March at the very young age of 25.
No matter what we’ve ever said about the father of 17, our heart absolutely shatters for him and his family members.

Four months into Donald Trump’s presidency, his and Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s plan to “Make America Healthy Again” appears to be taking shape: It consists of throwing millions of Americans off their health insurance plans, making Americans pay more for health care in various ways, and slashing health spending and research — all to help fund a tax bill that will yet again disproportionately benefit the rich.

This August, Marvel Comics will release a one-shot that encapsulates all the wonder and excitement of Marvel Comics storytelling with Marvel All-In-One from Fantastic Four writer Ryan North and Amazing Spider-Man artist Ed McGuinness.
The comic will pit Ben Grimm against the entire pantheon of Marvel superheroes. The battle takes place across 50 pages of incredible nonstop action so bold, so colossal, that the only pages that aren’t splash pages are double-page spreads.
It promises to be the wildest anniversary one-shot ever published, and Marvel as you've always wanted to see it; it's biggest, baddest, most...clobberingest!
Here's the official description for Marvel All-In-One:
Ben Grimm, A.K.A. The Thing: He’s the ever-lovin’ idol of millions and powerhouse of the Fantastic Four. He’s strong, he’s kind, and he never gives up. And he’s also tired, and he’s sore, and he’s grumpy.

President Donald Trump’s administration is ready to accept a $400 million “flying palace” Boeing 747-8 jumbo jet from Qatar’s royal family, which Trump will use as Air Force One.
The president will use the aircraft, which is reported to be the most luxurious private jet in the world, as a temporary presidential jet. At the same time, Boeing finishes the next-generation Air Force One fleet after years of delays and cost overruns. The jet would then be transferred to the Trump presidential library foundation when Trump leaves office.
In 2022, Trump’s plan to paint Air Force One red, white and blue was scrapped due to its $1.1 billion cost.
Trump, who earned the lowest approval rating of any president in the past eight decades at 100 days in office, could receive delivery of the plane soon.
On Sunday night, Trump confirmed in a Truth Social post that he would accept the plane.

1988’s The Naked Gun is making a comeback, but will it capture the same magic as the original? Most comedies now feel the need to sneak in a life lesson, and silliness, wordplay, or casual gags have largely been pushed aside. The Naked Gun, however, worked because it didn’t particularly care too much about those things. It just wanted to be funny.
With Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson stepping into the franchise as fresh faces, the 2025 Naked Gun reboot is officially set to hit theaters on August 1, 2025. Originally scheduled for July 18, 2025, the release date was shifted by a couple of weeks, likely to accommodate studio scheduling conflicts, including the rescheduling of Vicious, another Paramount project. Here’s everything we know so far about the new Naked Gun.

It's sometimes a rare treat to see an anime series actually finish its story, since it's rather common for an anime to either go on hiatus or never finish the original manga's story at all. Recent anime titles, meanwhile, haven't even had a chance to finish their stories yet, such as My Hero Academia and Jujutsu Kaisen, so anime fans end up with a lot of unfinished stories. However, there are some wonderful exceptions to that trend.
In past decades, fantastic anime like Neon Genesis Evangelion and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood finished their stories, and more recently, other great anime titles have done the same. From 2020 to the present, fun anime series in all different genres crossed the finish line and aired their final seasons or concluded with anime movies. Anime fans can either watch these series for the first time or revisit them so they can get a complete viewing experience.

Warning: Spoilers Ahead for One-Punch Man Chapter #129!
One-Punch Man Season 3 is just around the corner, coming up sometime in 2025, but the anime continues to build expectations and fuel hype with little sneak peeks at the characters’ designs. Recently, One-Punch Man Season 3 revealed two promotional images of beloved S-Rank heroes. But one of these visuals proved that Opm's production team is making some changes with a redesign that surprised fans, with many stating that it was for the adaptation to be more politically correct.
Ever since the release of the first trailer of One-Punch Man season 3, the series’ official X account has been releasing monthly visuals of heroes that will have a relevant participation in the Monster Association Arc, and so far 10 characters have received these visuals. This time it was the turn of Flashy Flash and Superalloy Blackluster, with the latter receiving a noticeable change in his facial features.

The Art Directors Guild has announced the nominees for its 29th Annual Excellence in Production Design Awards. Production design is all about worldbuilding, and so it’s fitting that the nominees are spread out by the kinds of worlds production designers are asked to create and the demands of their setting. The feature film nominee categories are amongst period settings, contemporary settings, and fantasy settings and the television shows are divided further by format between single-camera hourlong, half-hour, multicamera series, limited series, and TV movie, among others.
But the nominees themselves align with IndieWire’s predicted frontrunners for the Oscar category. “Dune: Part Two” and “Wicked,” among others, are nominated in the fantasy feature film category, while “The Brutalist,” and “Conclave” each received nominations in period feature and contemporary feature, respectively. On the TV side, “Shōgun” continues its conquest of guild nominations with one for period single-camera series, but “Squid Game,...

One-Punch Man is full of extraordinary heroes with abilities, including those refined through machinery and psychokinetic espers in the Hero Association and beyond. However, one particular cyborg has turned out to be especially prominent among Saitama's allies due to the extent of his modifications, although he has featured far less in recent chapters. Genos, Saitama's disciple and friend, is confirmed to be a near-impossible feat of cybernetic engineering, as remarked in the recently released chapters of One-Punch Man.
Genos has been a running joke character in One-Punch Man, deceptively serious in a story frequently steeped in parody and satire while immensely growing as his cyborg modifications are improved. He's been absent for the latest chapters, yet Genos occasionally gets either mentioned directly or indirectly. One-Punch Man might not be giving Genos his dues yet, but the latest reveal related to Wavygyaza's cybernetic modifications indicates that Saitama's friend is far...

There are obscure treasures and there are holy grails. Of the latter, none is more mythic than the original 131-minute cut of Orson Welles’s The Magnificent Ambersons, believed by many to be lost somewhere in Brazil. All others arguably belong to Erich von Stroheim. Born in Vienna in 1885 into a Jewish household, von Stroheim is mostly remembered for playing evil Germans in films like Jean Renoir’s Grand Illusion. Cinephiles, though, know him as the unluckiest auteur in the history of cinema.
Intended to run anywhere between six and 10 hours, many of von Stroheim’s films, from Greed to the Gloria Swanson vehicle Queen Kelly, were severely bastardized by studio heads upon their release. In this context, the iris shot that opens 1922’s Foolish Wives feels especially poignant. This is no ordinary “fade into” effect, but an entrancing reinforcement of the sinister, insular, and constrictive nature of the film’s milieu.

Warning: Spoilers for One-Punch Man Ch. #186 (Jp)One-Punch Man's newest chapter largely focused on a long overdue heart-to-heart between Genos and Saitama, but it's the subtler message that lies underneath their conversation that actually shows how sad and lonely being Saitama can be. In a scuffle that lasted only a few seconds, Saitama's passive actions ended up pushing Genos farther away.
Chapter #186 of One-Punch Man saw Genos and Saitama head out to an unpopulated area to spar, but when Genos powered up and launched his first attack, Saitama merely recoiled from the light he was giving off, unconcerned about the incoming punch from Genos. Genos realized for the first time that Saitama doesn't see him as a potential threat at all, even in a sparring match. Warning: Spoilers For The One-Punch Man Manga #166
While the One-Punch Man anime's third season is in the works, a talented animator already created Saitama's cosmic-scale battle in a stunning animation that's set the bar for the next season. Many of the series' S-class heroes face fearsome foes that push their considerable abilities to their limits in the Monster Association arc that season 3 of the anime will adapt. Although several of the battles continue to elevate the stakes and excitement of the One-Punch Man series, they pale in comparison to Garou and Saitama's battle which was so large-scale and over the top that it had to be taken to the cosmos.
Though season 3 of One-Punch Man is likely far off, animator Redhairedguy adapted the battle that will likely be the season's finale and posted their stunning version to YouTube. The impressive fan animation adapts the climactic battle of the Monster...

The following contains spoilers for One-Punch Man Chapter 183, "Updates," by One, Yusuke Murata, John Werry, and James Gaubatz, available in English through Viz Media.
With how focused the latest chapters of One-Punch Man have been on Terrible Tornado and Saitama, Chapter 183 provided a much-needed return to One-Punch Man's large ensemble cast, many of which haven't been seen since the Monster Association Arc. One of the heroes who receives a little additional focus is S-Class Rank 16, Tanktop Master, the Tanktop Hero.
One-Punch Man's S-Class is notoriously filled with heroes who, while powerful, also have overly inflated egos and look down on the weak. Tanktop Master's actions in this latest chapter, as well as through most of his appearances in One-Punch Man, show why Tanktop Master has one of the purest hearts of any S-Class hero in the series and is one of the most likable of One-Punch Man's minor cast.

Jodie Whittaker was terrific in Doctor Who season 11, no doubt about it, but the Thirteenth Doctor’s first year in the Tardis didn’t get under the Time Lord’s skin enough for us to really get a three-dimensional portrait of who this Doctor is. This won’t be the case with season 12, though, as the trailers have alluded to a dark night of the soul for the time traveler coming up. And that’s further teased in this new featurette, a pre-season preview courtesy of BBC America.
The short promo features interviews with the cast and crew, who offer their thoughts on why fans should be excited for the new season. Producer Nikki Wilson seems to sum up the big hook of this run best, saying: “We’re going to see the Thirteenth Doctor really tested.”

Watchmen is a show that does many things right. What could have easily turned into a disaster became instead a fantastic show that reconciles the past with the present, as it tells a story of generational trauma through the lens of a superhero story. What few if any of us predicted at the beginning of […]

After a year out, Doctor Who is finally about to return to our screens this New Year’s Day with the much-anticipated opener of season 12. With fans having waited for a whole 12 months for another trip in the Tardis and with its yuletide airdate meaning it’s something of a blend between winter special and season premiere, hopes are high it’ll be a top-quality episode. And it seems we won’t be disappointed.
While speaking with Deadline, showrunner Chris Chibnall made the bold statement that he thinks the season 12 opener, punningly titled “Spyfall,” could well be the “biggest episode” of Who there’s ever been over the past 50+ years. Specifically, because of the scope of production, with the episode shot in various locations around the world. That said, he promised that the outing won’t lose sight of the smaller-scale character stuff, too.

Van Helsing Season 4 Episode 11
“You pathetic old hags.”
It’s reasonable to think the revelation of a relatively intact United States government and military might be the most compelling reveal to emerge from the latest episode of Van Helsing. Nope. “All Apologies” throws a little shapeshifting into the mix, and as long as Sgt. Miller and Julius can control the growing Van Helsing army, there may even be a flicker of light at the end of the apocalyptic tunnel.
We receive verification that the inner circle vampires possess shapeshifting abilities, a power that neatly coincides with Hansen’s revised allegiance to the Dark One and her followers. Despite the present concern he exhibits for Violet and Jack, we’ve rightly questioned his motives.

The first trailer for Doctor Who season 12 made it official that the Cybermen would be returning in the new run to face Jodie Whittaker’s Thirteenth Doctor for the first time. It seems this was a major priority for showrunner Chris Chibnall going into his second year in charge of the sci-fi series, too, as he revealed to Radio Times that he had a very specific story in mind to tell with the metal monsters.
“I really wanted to see Jodie against the Cybermen,” Chibnall told the outlet, before pointing out that they were the natural next choice of iconic villains for Whittaker’s Time Lord to battle after squaring up against a Dalek in the 2019 winter special.
“There are certain monsters you want to see a Doctor go up against,” he said. “She met a Dalek in Resolution last New Year. Cybermen feel like an important part of the...

It’s been almost three whole years since Sherlock was last on our screens, but creators Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss are set to deliver another adaptation of a Victorian classic for those of us missing the Great Detective. The show has been in the works for a while, but the BBC has finally revealed that Dracula will premiere this New Year’s Day on BBC One.
The series is similarly structured to Sherlock as its first season will consist of three 90-minute episodes. Unlike the detective drama, though, which used to release weekly, Dracula will air nightly, with episodes 2 and 3 following on January 2nd and 3rd. The show is a co-production between the Beeb and Netflix, but there’s no news at present on when it’ll be made available for the rest of the world on the streaming service.

Loneliness has always been fertile territory when it comes to songwriting: Three Dog Night’s 1968 hit “One,” Eric Carmen/Céline Dion’s “All by Myself.” You know the drill. Madrid’s Hinds adds to that canon on Tuesday with “Riding Solo.”
“Feeling lonely is one of the most common human feelings, right?” the band said in a release. “Well, being a musician doesn’t really help. Your whole life is constantly moving and the only thing that remains is yourself. And dealing with yourself. Oh gosh, we all know how...
