"The beads will be lubed up, we're spitting on them"

This should have a been an extra feature on the Jackass Number Two DVD. It has some great moments, some not so great, and some sickening things.

If you're a Jackass fan you should see it, but paying so much to see it isn't the best idea. These are basically the rejected scenes not used in Number Two, and for some you'll understand why. Some is just inappropriate, but so hilarious like the original stuff. Ever since the first Jackass movie, they've all been pushing the limits of what they can do, and lately the more disgusting and cruder stuff comes out like more nudity and vomiting. It also seems more Hollywood, but nonetheless another piece of Jackass.

    Really good documentary

More of a documentary than a true Jackass film that's barely feature length. However, Jackass 2.5 is still really good and insightful, enjoyably exploring how a Jackass gets made and still has some fun and satisfyingly painful stunts. Jeff Tremaine's direction is good, the stunts are always well filmed and it's got a really fun opening. All of the sketches are worth watching and have their moments even if you can see why they didn't make the final cut.

    Disappointing, But Still Funny

I LOVE the Jackass films. Part 1 and 2 are some of the funniest times I've spent in the theater. When word got out from Bam Margera on Howard Stern a few months ago about the upcoming 2.5, I was very excited to see it. Well, I just finished watching 2.5, and even though I laughed a lot, it just overall usually felt like a deleted scene reel from a DVD. Of course that's what a lot of the footage is, but after I heard they were still filming long after number 2's release, I figured we'd get the same type of movie we've seen in the past, but only this time they were just going to market it differently. This film consists of good bits and failed bits, most of which are set up with interviews. The first two films barely missed a beat, even when the bit wasn't the greatest, but 2.5. consists of mostly just amusing stuff. Don't get me wrong, I had a good time, but expected so much more. One thing that really let me down, is the lost Don Vito tooth pulling scene is still missing, even though Bam mentioned they'll finally show it. I'm guessing it's from the recent conviction, but that bit could have made the whole movie, if it's as great as Bam says it is. So if you're a Jackass fan, check out 2.5. If you're new to Jackass, check out 1 and 2, cause that's where the real laughs are.

    Interesting Cash Grab. Still Fun

This is an interesting cash grab. You had enough footage where you could make this and it runs over an hour. Jaime and I saw Forever in the theater and while we didn't want to watch a TV show, this was mindless fun so we binged through 1, 2 and now this.

I believe we both saw this before. This time around, I love the documentary feel here. There's probably 45 minutes of stunts not used, but then they talk to cast and crew. This gives a bit more behind the scenes feel which I liked. Not as good, but still fun and worth a watch if you're a fan of Jackass.

My Rating: 6.5 out of 10.

Doesn't really live up to jackass standards.

Jackass's 2nd installment produced a lot of footage, and some of it didn't make it into the final cut. after the success of jackass 2, the crew decided to take some of the unused footage, put it together, and make jackass 2.5 and turn it into a 40 minute docu-drama. well, not so much.

while it wasn't much of a drama, it took some stunts that wern't as funny as the other ones, but still could make you laugh.

I somewhat enjoyed it, but most of the stunts involved having foreign objects placed up someone's butt. like anal beads, baby powder, straws, and massage cream. also, a lot of bodily waste ended up on human skin (Urine is a good example) if that sickens you, don't bother with this.

it's also got a few extra features, like the making of the video game, and bonus stunts done after number 2's release. it's worth a rental.

    • Anecdotes
Ryan Dunn only appears in archive footage in this movie. He had become depressed after developing a life-threatening blood clot during filming and contracting Lyme disease afterwards, so he declined to make himself available for interviews or commentary. In fact, he cut off all contact with his cast mates for years afterward, until shortly before Jackass 3D (2010) entered production.
