In itself a Good heist film but somehow I don't see the connections between the individual scenes. It rather seems like half of the storry is not telled, like if you only ever see short excerpts from the whole story. In the end that feels very unsatisfactory, incomplete somehow, and that although the film is 2 hours long.

If u looking for action this might be worth but storyline and development was unconvincing.. There were so many missing scenes in which you probably should have bond with characters. It felt like progression where left aside here and there.. no real antagonist until the very end which doesn't create thrill at all.

Unfortunately there is no deeper message, no dispute, no understanding, no turning point.. I definitely expected more.

A movie with so much stuff that it seems a lot of scenes are missing. It would have been better to do a mini series of 4-5 episodes.

2019 , Ángel (Miguel Herrán) is one of the countless young men who live in the shack camp , in the slums located in outside City of Madrid , center to Spain , country's capital . One night , at a discoteque Ángel meets Estrella (Carolina Yuste) , a beautiful teen who is Poli's (Richard Holmes) fiancée, and a bit later on , by chance he meets Sole (Asia Ortega) , a former classmate and daughter of a feared mobster called Rogelio (Luis Tosar) . At the same time , Angel falls in love for Estrella and Sole . Then , Angel joins forces with Poli and other young crooks as Motos and Gitano, carrying out a criminal life . As young thieves embark on armed robberies to raise the money that they use to rise their existence . This young offender had a very moving childhood filled with crimes and misdemeanors , and a dangerous adolescence along with a risked first youth . He goes on his crime waves until that in his last hit is arrested and sent to prison . It tells his story as a criminal offender from Prison 1 Ocaña and in the jail another inmate gets in touch with Mercedes (Patricia Vico) , a trustful although corrupt advocate at law used to treat with blue collar thieves . Later on , Angel out of prison and he enjoys of the upper-class lifestyle at the same time that continues robbing with his colleagues . Along the way they are chased by policies commanded by Duque (Fernando Cayo) , a stubborn and veteran cop obsessed to catch Ángel and his band and taking place spectacular pursuits and breathtaking car crashes . But two persistent troubles show up in his way : the extremely obstinate Duque that goes on and on to imprison him, and a so much powerful and nasty people that they don't will accept to be blackmailed by a simple blue-collar thief.

Moving thriller filled with nail-biting action , lush cars , a triangular love story with beauty girls and swiftly paced , though overlong . Resulting to be commentary on Spanish society dressed as a thriller about the adventures and misfortunes of a band of young petty criminals all of them specialists to make fast hits in jewelries and flee before the police appear in the scene. This is a thrilling narration of robbing with exceptionally fine camera work and great chase sequences and crashes on the metropolitan streets . The picture mingles action-packed , drama , thrilling pursuits , suspense , a little bit of violence, strong love scenes and spectacular sequences though won't mean much on little screen TV . Shocking and stirring film based on juvenile delinquency , the script by prestigious Jorge Guerricaechevarría (Alex de la Iglesia's ordinary writer) paying tribute to ¨Quinqui sub-genre¨ that got splendor in the Eighties , these films were starred by true delinquents , dealing with youth delinquency in Spain during the 70s and early 80s, such as : "Perros Callejeros I¨ and ¨II¨, ¨ Los Ultimos Golpes Del Torete¨, ¨Yo el Vaquilla¨ ¨, mostly realized by Jose Antonio De La Loma , ¨Navajeros , "Colegas", "El Pico 1¨ , 2" by Eloy de la Iglesia and especially ¨Deprisa , Deprisa¨ by Carlos Saura and later on , ¨La Estanquera De Vallecas ¨ , among others . These films were notorious in the years of the Spanish transition to democracy including provoking and polemic issues and played by unknown young people . The style was pretty much urban and realistic as well in the atmosphere as in the fresh dialog and attempted to take a position in favor of outcast people . Drugs , delinquency, and generational problems were the habitual subjects in these films and specially dedicated to the underworld of heroin and a very realistic look at drug addiction . Hasta el cielo (2020) stars Miguel Herrán giving a passable acting as a poor teen and with any resource working as mechanic repairing cars in the mechanical workshop, who subsequently becomes into a dangerous delinquent . Other chief excitements about the picture , will be in the intervention of some young actors who realize professionally competent acting, such as Carolina Yuste , Asia Ortega , Richard Holmes . And three veterans who demonstrate their experience and professionality , such as : Fernando Cayo , Patricia Vico and Luis Tosar as a sinister wealthy man with dark business.

It packs colorful and appropriate cinematography by cameraman Josu Inchaustegui who provides a brilliant and luxurious environment .This is another decently realized film with competent shooting , though the story eventually run out of gas . It was well made by Calparsoro in similar vein to his previous films as ¨Invasor¨ or ¨Combustión¨ , other splendid thrillers with lots of action . His best film was ¨Warriors¨ or ¨Guerreros¨ , a warlike film brilliantly made by Daniel and dealing with ¨Kosovo¨ war . Daniel was raised in Donostia , that's why most films are set in Basque country . Daniel uses to work with his spouses , as his first wife , Najawa Nimri composes his scores and played in Salto a Vacio , Pasajes , Asfalto , A Ciegas ; and his second one , Patricia Vico , performed in La Ira , Hats el cielo and others . Calparsoro is an expert on action and violent dramas . The motion picture was well directed by veteran director Daniel Calparsoro, though It has a few flaws , certain confusion , and some gaps . Daniel has a long career as filmmaker from his beginning with Basque films as ¨Pasajes¨, ¨Salto al vacio¨, ¨A ciegas¨ , ¨Ausentes¨ ; subsequently making thrillers as ¨Asfalto¨ , ¨Guerreros¨ , ¨Invasor¨ , and the successful ¨Combustion¨ , ¨La advertencia¨ , and ¨Cien años de perdon¨ , the Sci-Fi ¨El Aviso¨and the suspenseful thriller ¨El silencio de la ciudad blanca¨. He also directed TV series as ¨Inocentes¨, ¨La ira¨, ¨El castigo¨ , ¨Apaches¨. Rating 6/10 . Decent and acceptable yarn as well as enjoyable thriller. The flick will appeal to adrenaline lovers and those young people looking for strong emotions . This is the kind of film in which the action and thriller enthusiasts will enjoy immensely, it's a must see .

Fragmented narration with unexplained actions. Something is always missing between scenes. A pleasant film (?) if you watch it washing dishes at the same time for example.

Well, it's not really that bad but it could be so much better.

The characters seem roaming around and robbing every single jewellery shop. I don't find any conncettion in it.

This kind of topic and scheme is usually produced by the Italian film industry. But this time, we deal with a Daniel Calparsoro's movie. I have already seen some of his; except the huge INSIDERS deception, I was satisfied with his filmography. GUERREROS and INVASOR. So this one is pretty good and surprising. Good directing and. I like the lead female character, far more than the men's ones. She is tougher and more powerful than them together. Poignant final for this good Spanish crime movie.

I dont have idea what the director wants us to show in the movie. In the begining it looks like some kind of ocean eleven thriller but soon script loses it connections with the characters.

You will find yourself disoriented in between.

2 hours of movie just a waste of time.

A very well directed and choreographed film, the Hawks' Scarface and even more the De Palma's style, showing the corruption, the suburbs, the street language, all this under a good soundtrack and a tense atmosphere. The story of a crazy social climbing and the building of a "human beast"

A film that lets you watch, a story of robbers and mafia in Madrid sauce, it works.

The story is predictable. You dont get to know the characters a lot before you get trown in the depth of the story. Wich is not that deep. I think they tried to make the end shocking and emotional, but it's just lazy and bad.

I woudn't recommend this movie.

Watching it with an open mind made it a bit interesting, but trying to gap the pieces for the story to make sense was hideous.

A film that calls itself an adventure and action, having very little of that, is not a drama or a thriller, it is something.

It's about a boy who gets into the business of robbery and all that it involves to climb.

It is of quality.

The editing is terrible and does not help much, potential action scenes are cut, at other times they jump in time and the thread of the sequence is lost because they do not show you the things they speak.

No character develops and you don't empathize with any of them.

At times the dialogues of some characters are not understood.

The story goes about we fight, we are friends, now we are rivals, again friends, again rivals.

The ending is consistent but it overwhelms you so much that it is difficult to reach it.

The few action scenes are fine.

The performances are good too.

A very good idea that remains in the attempt.

Avoidable.

It's action-packed, for sure, but fails to impress. Story is skin-deep as my frustration is almost sky-high. It revolves around a young criminal who leads in executing one heist after another if he's not around banging his girlfriend. It's unfair to cast the great Luis Tosar in this second-rate film. Is anything positive about this film? Well, Miguel Herran has the makings of that famous Hollywood actor by the name of Steve McQueen. The camera angles are ok, too.

Premise is interesting but the film kept jumping forward without properly explaining what was happening or giving you time to properly bond with the characters and instead you're trying to figure out how far ahead they've jumped to put what you are seeing in context. The script and storytelling really let this whole film down unfortunately.

The movie might be half as long in my opinion. The story was boring and extremely drawn out.

This movie is soposed to be of robers not a romantic movie, just 3 roberries, I wasted two hours of my day. SO BAD.

This was pure garbage. The main character is the worst "badass" I've ever seen. In the first diamond heist they destroyed the necklace in the case and I thought a gentle tap would do but clearly not. Other than that the whole film is confusing, a lot of gaps leave the film feeling choppy. The end product is terrible. Between the first heist and the second, Angelito gains the street credit without any clear reasons why.

An action film that made me laugh, clap and be amazed by this well executed movie! Very entertaining, The actors own their own characters plus the story is built well. BRAVO, NETFLIX should be proud! I can't wait to see Herran & Yuste in the next new season of ELITE on NETFLIX! The elevator & lawyer interaction scenes are great!

No idea what is going on, how the plot is developing or why things are happening. It is like the cheap version of Fast & Furious, like Tenet but worse, much worse. A total waste of time.

Well, the acting is quite okay, the cops and the main male role excepted. Cops' roles were not difficult to play. They are as inconsistent as Tom Wilson, the policeman, in The Chaplin's 'Kid'. Cruel for Tom, I know. But the worst has to come. Miguel Herrán would have been more credible in the role of a lift boy than in the role of "Angel". The actor's play is weak and definitively inadequate to his ability to embody such a role. There was room tho to be able to play an Angel full of doubts, a human being made of strengths here and weaknesses there, joys and sorrows. Herrán would find none of these throughout the whole film, which can be described, I can't deny it, like a poor achievement. The biggest issue of this film is the lack of almost everything in the script: imagination, suspense, tension, etc. And tell me what remains when none of these basic key features are present in an action movie? Not much, right? This is what you get after the screening of the film. The good surprise comes from the female roles: all are quite credible (female cop excepted of course). And you knew it already.

They could've shortened this movie by a ton. It was very slow for me. Hopefully the Netflix show will be better.
