Kingdom of the White Wolf

Because this series was amazing, and I'll be damned if this doesn't do well enough for a second season. The cinematography is epic, the soundtrack is fantastic, and the documentary itself is exciting and entertaining while being actually educational. Bravo all around. I hope this project continues.

The footage of the wolves is amazing. It's definitely worth seeing for anyone who is interested in or loves wolves. The problem is that FAR too much time is spent showing the photographer and his activities. I have no way of knowing if this is the result of his choices or the editor's, but it's incredibly distracting and disappointing. Let's lose the ego and show the subject.

It is a couple of days later after I finished watching the entire three episodes and I cannot stop thinking of these wolves. There is one part in particular - you will know it when you see it - that when describing it to a friend, my voice cracked and I was in tears. Very beautiful. I am sure that I will think about this one matriarch for years to come.

There had better be more coming. Somebody get this cat some cold weather underpants so we can see what's up with the pack over the winter. I have to know how things turn out!

This was a well constructed view of a magnificent remote world that I certainly hopes stays are remote as it was. Arduous work to accomplish I am sure. More than matched by the wolves themselves who are simply astonishing athletes, incredibly intelligent and beautifully devoted to their pack. Inspiring. So hope for a 2nd season.
