"Biswa Mast Aadmi" is hands down my favorite stand up comedy. Few days ago I heard Biswa is coming back. I was so excited. I watched it minutes after it released. But this time it's not like the previous one. Not even close. It's possible that maybe I expected more.

Well, Sushi ain't for all.
Biswa in his amplified desi-pana character, presents multiple of layers of some smart yet witty laugh liners. Scenarios handpicked from different aspects of the everyday middle class Indian/Bangalore(be it a state board student). Witty humour rolled in with some surprises with light hearted 'science' & served well for a one time 'getting bored & nothing to do' watch kinda evening.

I won't call this as Biswa's best but I enjoyed it. The thing I found missing here is getting away from his strongest set of comedy: Anecdotal. This is what happened to Sushy and ended up mixing many stories. Still, one time watch !
Biswa has done an awesome job in his new standup special.
I have hardly laughed loudly when watching any standup special, but this one made me LOL everytime

The start was a bit meh with few funny jokes here and there but it picked up towards the second half and became quintessential Biswa with his funny dialects, situations, callbacks... Not as consistent as Mast Aadmi but still very funny.

Was really looking forward to this special but was a bit disappointed. First half entirely had repeated jokes from his standups done at a venue which i had being to. Regardless it might appeal to a new audience as this guy has an excellent delivery of punches. Wished he had worked on content though.

The best thing about Biswa is that all his jokes are derived from everyday lives and he is such a good observer , everyone feels connected .
Great narration , great jokes .
A must watch .

Found it way better than Mast Aadmi. My rating is actually 7.5, I just don't know how to rate it though.

I genuinely ROFLED. It was absolutely hilarious. And it's amazing how he observes things and it's so relatable. And obviously the way he speaks and delivers the jokes is just cherry on top. There are some negative reviews that i dont agree with at all. Lemme just tell you at the end i was like "THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST FUNNIEST COMEDIANS OUT THERE COZ I JUST DIED LAUGHING" absolutely amazing. Loved this.
Biswa has set standards so high for himself, that Sushi comes as an utter disappointment. Stand-Up comedy scene is progressing so rapidly, that comedians must up their ante to the competition level. I am very disheartened that I'm disappointed by a Biswa special. I hope he learns from this what works and what doesn't.
1 thing I found was the jokes were too predictable. In the early days of Biswa his jokes were so unpredictable, that the element of surprise acted like a catalyst for laughter. I don't mean to give a low rating just for the sake of it, but I genuinely hope all the aforementioned points get rectified. We must not settle for Kapil Sharma level jokes.

As initially mentioned while explaining why it is called Sushi. It was pretty subtly mentioned why it was called so. The jokes were thin and a unique serving on its own. Had one been to a sushi bar or seen sushi videos one can easily relate to how the sushi master serves each serving with an explanation of what it is and this how I could personally relate to the jokes. Biswa is truly an intellectual upperbeing and parallels he draws and the intelligence behind the humor is what makes a step above the rest. Excellent work and expecting more such unique servings.

I laughed, laughed and laughed. It was relatable right from the start and kept getting funnier. Hasi k bikhaari rightly said. I laugh as I type this review. Bahut funny, bahut dark, bahut witty Biswa Mast Aadmi.

I love Biswa's humour. And the truth bombs that he dropped in the middle of the act were spot on. Laughed so hard throughout the running minutes. Eagerly waiting for what he comes up with next.

I havent caught Biswa KR previously so I watched this show on Amazon Prime without any particular expectations, and ready as always to click on Exit should it fail to hold my interest.
Have to admit that Biswa's brand of stand up is pretty funny, it was in fact quite hilarious for the most part and I certainly did not fast forward my way through, nor hit the Exit button until the very end!

Biswa has something for everyone-laymen or intellectuals ,urban or rural, college or school, youth or elders.. Based on everyday Indian life! If you want to laugh at desi yet classy jokes, that too with your family, this is the show to watch!

The bits connected, the callbacks were fine, the material not seen before.. I liked the special. Biswa's style of humour, and the East-Indian mistakes in Hindi might take some people out of the bit, but that didn't happen for me. Good stuff - I wish it was easier to watch it on other platforms.

Don't keep your expectations high. Because most of you would. "Mast aadmi" raised the bar way too high.
Sushi has a lot of good jokes and a pinch of intelligent jokes here and there like oregano seasoning.

This piece is a masterful blend of wit, observation, and subtle critique, delivering an engaging and thought-provoking experience. Brilliant callbacks tie the narrative together seamlessly, while razor-sharp one-liners add humor with depth and precision. Its observational insights transform everyday moments into something extraordinary, offering fresh perspectives that resonate universally. The subtle critiques are woven so naturally into the story that they linger in the mind, encouraging reflection without ever feeling heavy-handed. Combining intelligence, humor, and impactful storytelling, this work stands as a testament to exceptional craftsmanship, leaving a lasting impression and rewarding those who appreciate nuanced, layered narratives.

Biswa used to be one of my favorite comics and his last stand up "Mast Aadmi Biswa" was a laugh riot. But Sushi had something missing. It had some typical biswa spontaneous technical jokes but it lacked the quality biswa is known for. I think it was more of under kill by Biswa this time. I personally felt writing was not up to the mark. Really dissappointed!

Biswa did an amazing job. I loved all the jokes. They were taken from day to day life so they were easily relatable. I was laughing from the beginning till the end. Thanks for entertaining.
I really liked the jokes in the performance, extremely authentic. I had a good time, laughed quite a lot.
