I hadn't even heard about the 2020 movie titled "Crazy Awesome Teachers" (aka "Guru-Guru Gokil") before now in 2021 as I had the opportunity to sit down and watch it. I briefly checked up on the movie before sitting down to watch it, and it seemed like it was a movie that could prove entertaining.

And I will say that if you enjoy a movie that is equal parts drama, comedy and crime, then "Crazy Awesome Teachers" is a movie that you should give a chance. I must admit that I actually enjoyed the movie.

Sure, the storyline was pretty generic, but at the same time, it actually worked out well enough, because it was nicely written and had a good amount of comedy to it that definitely helped spruce it up.

Now, I am not overly familiar with the Indonesian cinema, so there weren't anyone familiar here in the movie. But I will say that they actually performed quite nicely and brought their individual characters to life on the screen in a good way.

"Crazy Awesome Teachers" is a feel-good movie, and it is one that I definitely will recommend you taking the time to watch, if you want a light comedy with a good story.

My rating of "Crazy Awesome Teachers" lands on a six out of ten stars.

This movie pretty refreshing among typical indonesian movies in general.

The main cast act really well as teacher named Taat. If he is not like a normal teacher pretty make sense hence he just a temporary teacher

The other cast play very well acting but the movie a bit weak on the storyline, in my view doesn't make sense if someone keeping the money inside school building and has no deposit box (why you guys not store it in bank?)

GOKIL TO THE MAX !! The script of this film really helps the comedy become more fresh, plus a talented cast and has good chemistry.

I was also amazed by how good the cinematography is, has a distinctive color tone, and shoots really well. The plot doesn't make sense, but isn't that a common thing in comedy films?

I'm going to start with this : I don't watch Indonesian movies a lot but this one caught my attention. I didn't expect a lot in the first place but this movie deserves quite a rating for entertaining your quarantined days, or for keeping you a company in the afternoon while working at home and sipping your evening coffee with your family, Kind of relaxing your nerves after hearing too much bad news on television. Dian Sastro has proven that she could actually be coming out from her shell - watching this movie will make you forget her as Cinta from AADC, although the makeover could have been more natural. This movie is in fresh and entertaining plot supported with its light jokes, easy to be understood by all levels of age, suitable for family time. Some new talents are trained and shot perfectly by the young actors.
